You can't put a price tag on love, but you can on a kiss from George Clooney.
And that bar code scans for $350,000.
During the AmFAR Cinema Against AIDS auction dinner last night, part of the Cannes Film Festival, host Sharon Stone offered a smooch from Clooney as a new item when he and the cast of "Ocean's Thirteen" auctioned off a seven-day private Mediterranean cruise.
"If you bid, one of these guys will come down and touch you. And you can choose which one."
After the winning bidder scored the trip for $350,000, he watched his girlfriend fulfill what is most likely one of her fantasies on stage.
The liplock made co-star Ellen Barkin a tad jealous too.
"I'll kiss [Clooney] for $500,000."
The two then swapped spit as well.
I don't know if I'd just kiss someone for $350,000. (A record of $7 million was raised by the end of the night). I mean, that's a lotta dough, and I'd be expecting way more than a little tongue in the French Riviera. But then again, how many people can say they've kissed the two-time Sexiest Man Alive?
Never thought you'd hear that, huh?
Donald Trump is actually siding with Rosie O'Donnell (somewhat) on her 10-minute long verbal feud with Elisabeth Hasselbeck on "The View" yesterday morning.
"On this one I think Rosie
should win, but Rosie is not much herself…I think anybody that's
against the war in Iraq is the winner of the fight, because to justify
the war in Iraq - only an imbecile could do that."
O'Donnell chided her co-host for not defending her when she came under fire for comments that likened the troops to terrorists.
Hasselbeck retaliated by saying she's not there to defend her.
But the Trumpster sure is. Guess the TV rejects must band together somehow.
O'Donnell was MIA from Thursday's show, having announcing on her blog yesterday afternoon that she was taking the day off to celebrate partner Kelli Carpenter's 40th birthday. However, she also writes that she has "no idea" when she'll return to the chatfest.

"ER" doc Mekhi Phifer has gotten engaged to his girlfriend Oni Souratha. The actor presented his betrothed with a 2.65-carat diamond solitaire ring in Cabo San Lucas on May 9. The half-a-million sparkler was made by Jason Arasheben, owner of Jason of Beverly Hills, who finished the custom-made ring with micro pave eternity setting on the band only the day before.
"It was a total surprise for her! He called and said ‘you need to get this done ASAP!’ We did it in 48 hours!"
And it was a job well done. Souratha, an assistant to director Bille Woodruff, loves the rock and how well it suited her. Meanwhile, Arasheben is already at work for the wedding bands.
"It’s going to be a simple, one-row band to match."
This will be Phifer's second marriage. He was married to actress Malina Williams from 1999-2003 and the couple have a son, Omikaye.
Natalie Portman has reportedly bounced on-and-off again boyfriend Gael Garcia Bernal for a less dramatic type of guy - "Saturday Night Live" funny man Andy Samberg. The two met last March when the Oscar nominee hosted and showed off her profane verbal prowess in a memorable digit short (below), so clearly she has a sense of humor too.
Even Kenan Thompson wants a piece of that:
"If Andy is dating Natalie, I'm extremely jealous."
Maybe "Dick in a Box" was written for her?
Now that they're proud owners of the Mirrorball trophy, "Dancing with the Stars" champs Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough get their own milk ad, leaving Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson and Laila Ali and Maksim Chmerkovskiy in the dust.
I can't even begin to explain the elation I felt when they won. They totally deserve it, although it was heartbreaking to hear that Joey's daughter, Briahna, a.k.a. mini-Princess Leia, cried when daddy lost. It's okay, Bri, your dad's good too, but Apolo is, after all, a God among men...with a rock solid ass, no less.
And what better way to mark a quarter of a century on earth than by mastering ballroom dancing? I know he cherishes that trophy way more than those Olympic medals. Winter medals are like the bastard children of the Summer ones - you got the lacquer in Nagano, jagged edges in Salt Lake, a hole in Torino. And while the Beijing ones will have jade, the summer ones have, altogether, remained relatively normal, round and whole.
But I digress. The Olympics tend to get the best of me. But seriously, with the Mirrorball trophy, you know what you're getting. So congrats, Apoliane! You got the trophy and Got Milk? too!
Did you cry crocodile tears too? Another crappy end to the crappiest season yet. Here's the blow-by-blow of the most bloated show since, well, "Idol Gives Back."
8:00 - And so the Jordin lovefest begins...Teri Hatcher's daughter looks concerned.
8:01 - Blake and Jordin bust out "I Saw Her Standing There." Of course they have to pick a song that mentions her age. Gee, I wonder who the winner is. Subtle, "American Idol," real subtle.
8:06 - Gwen Stefani is making me fall asleep. I don't even have the energy to comment on her outfit. Why is she part of this anyway?
8:12 - Kelly returns! Dontcha love how she's so desperate to turn "Never Again" into a hit that she's resorted to coming back to the one place she's severed ties from and hasn't been to in half a decade?? Her voice is shot to hell. Glad to see she got a stylist of some sort though. The f&$* me boots might be a little too much though.
8:16 - Clive golf-clapping to her performance. Awesome.
8:19 - Chicken Lady a.k.a. Margaret Fowler (appropriate name, no?) wins Best Presentation and proceeds to rape Ryan on the steps, which is probably the most action he's gotten from a woman since his beach makeout session with Teri last year.
8:22 - The boys are back in town in virgin white - good call, it makes Phil look more alive - and are joined by Smokey Robinson.
8:23 - Hearing all six of them proves Blake wasn't the best male vocalist. Hi, Phil! You still look like Gollum though.
8:30 - Oh, now they decide to play fair and let Blake bask in his element with Doug E. Fresh, taking it old school.
8:34 - Okay, that was pretty sweet. I feel like this and whatever the hell Sanjaya does will be the most entertaining parts of tonight.
8:36 - Most Original Vocal goes to Sholandric Stallworth. Every time I hear "Stallworth" I think of Omarosa.
8:38 - The girls return - Gina is apparently on the Carrie Underwood diet and Haley is actually decently clothed. Gladys Knight pops out. Melinda must be having a conniption.
8:46 - Constantine is sucking face with the camera behind Ryan - practicing for "The Bold and the Beautiful"?
8:47 - Tony Bennett ain't sick anymore. But really, Tony, you're too good for this cheese. What are you doing here? You should've feigned illness again. Justin Guarini shaking his head at TB, finally coming to terms he will never be a star.
8:50 - Best Buddies. Is this even a contest? Cake all the way!! Oh wait, they're not nominated...makes sense they're exempt. It would've been way too obvious...like Jordin winning tonight.
8:51 - LMAO at Ryan's overly toolish "Good luck, buddy." Go Simon and Ryan!!! Damn...I haven't been so disappointed in such a loss since "Brokeback Mountain" lost to "Crash."
8:53 - Bush baby and Mr. Hawaiian Shirt win. Along with the trophy, he gets an "AI"-sponsored bush baby (long-lost twin?) at the Milwaukee County Zoo lovingly dubbed Simon.
8:54 - BeBe and CeCe Winans with Melinda, who's looking gorgeous in that dress. Best look yet. I knew there was hope. Now she just needs the neck surgery. If Elliott can finagle his way to free veneers, surely someone will stick their own neck out and help a girl in need.
9:01 - BJ (hehe) get Mustangs. Notice that this is only the second time we've seen/heard mention of the finalists since the show started. It's not even about them now, but rather the seeing how many guest performers they can score and how long they can pat themselves on the back for. I have never seen a show love itself more.
9:02 - Carrie returns to stand by us again. I guess "nasally is a form of singing." Good lord. Ain't got nothing on Chrissie Hynde.
9:07 - Clive decides to give us the State of the Idol Address, which, in a nutshelll, singlehandedly humiliated Taylor and Katharine for their underwhelming achievements (oxymoron?), ignored Elliott altogether (what else is new?), gave a quick shout-out to Jennifer Hudson (can't let it marinate too long that a 7th-placer won an Oscar) and made love to Chris Daughtry with just words. I really think he wet himself espousing all those superlatives. Poor Taylor. If his ego isn't already bruised, it has to be more black and blue than that Backstreet Boys album by now.
9:10 - Somehow we end up with Carrie getting a plaque. We know who's their fave.
9:15 - African Children's Choir - CUTIES!!! And they didn't make me cry this time.
9:18 - Intergalactic montage starting - I love montages - you know this is gonna be about Sanjaya. Who else would get an intro? Who else deserves one?!
9:19 - Oh, how I've missed you. Wind machine is really doing wonders for his hair. But more importantly, where's Crying Girl?! She has to be there.
9:20 - There she is, in front of Chicken Lady...and she's done. TPTB really ought to hire her to show Princess Jordin some waterworks tricks.
9:21 - LMAO - fan's on extra high - this is by far one of the greatest moments of my life. I'm sorry, but Sanjaya is a rock star...a way bigger one than Joe Perry for that matter. That's right, you heard me. That sh!t was hilarious and he's got more stage presence than anyone else on the show. I'm not even sorry LaKisha's idol duet was bounced for that because the rock god, crucified wind-blown look was totally worth it.
9:22 - Green Day is on "American Idol." Say what?? Guess they won't miss a chance to make a political statement.
9:30 - Taylor picked himself up together after that backhanded compliment from Clive. Unfortunately, everyone seems bored out of their minds.
9:33 - Harmonica is attacking him apparently.
9:34 - Ruben is alive! Good idea - pair the giants together. Ruben has said he's lost weight and pinstripes are supposed to be slimming, but I don't really see any difference here. But how cute, he is wearing a pink tie to match her dress. So, uh, is Ruben Jordin's idol then? I thought it was Hanson.
9:35 - This is a great pairing - neither of them move from each of their one spot on stage. Some things never change. I will say it's nice to have all the past Idols back, save Fantasia, who's on Broadway.
9:41 - Brad Garrett is back. You can never have too much cross-promotion. And he helps introduce...BETTE MIDLER?? Singing "Wind Beneath My Wings"...in a leather (pleather?) skirt!! I give up.
9:45 - WTF was the point of that?? I'd rather have Phil or Chris do a solo.
9:51 - Kelly's back looking like she just went through a shredder. Girl needs to get a copy of "TV Guide" and look up listings for "What Not to Wear." Yeesh. Still trying out the rawker chick schtick...she sounds worse than before.
9:52 - Taylor's wearing a shirt that matches his hair. At least someone has style.
9:53 - Dontcha love how all the Idols learn from each toher? Carrie looks like a lampshade, but pulls a Haley and shows off those gams. Aww, she gets backups. It looks like Snow White and the Six Dwarves. Someone find Sanjaya.
9:55 - Ruben lumbers out and finds his one fave place on stage and is permanently glued there for a good minute and a half.
9:57 - Gina slips!! Shame she didn't fall. I'm mean. Haley's skirt is getting shorter, but hey, gotta keep up with Carrie.
10:02 - Finally. Two hours of fluff and they still have to do OT. This is only the third (and final) time Blake and Jordin are mentioned together. Could this be any more of a formality? And Blake's dad is still cute.
10:03 - Paula doesn't pick, of course. Everyone's a winner. Yeah, Clive can attest to that.
10:04 - Okay, let's get it over with - most anticlimatic ending ever!! LMAO Blake trying to pick up Jordin.
10:05 - Oh, here we go. Cue fake crying. Constipated face, check. Choking noises, check. Gasping for air, check. Look, ma, no tears!
10:07 - How much you wanna bet Blake is thanking the high heavens for not having to sing that unicorn and rainbows sap?
10:09 - Yay, hug it out. It's over. Why did I waste over two hours watching this? ::sigh:: Til January.
Are you ready for another Xenu baby?
No? Neither am I, but you might just wanna prep yourself for one since Tom and Katie are.
According to "Life & Style," the two are renovating one of the seven bedrooms in their new Beverly Hills pad into a nursery for the next spawn of the Galactic Confederacy.
"Tom told Katie how much he loves their little girl and how he wants to have another baby when she's ready. She told him she's ready. And in his typically enthusiastic fashion, Tom's moving full steam ahead preparing for a new arrival."
Well, he needs to - gotta start finding the proper Scientology sperm.
Because he's just all sorts of awesome, Hugh Laurie was made a member of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday.
The Queen presented the "House" star the honor at Buckingham Palace, celebrating his 20-plus years in the entertainment biz, which included such iconic British programs as "Jeeves and Wooster" and "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" with bud Stephen Fry.
Now that that's outta the way, it's time for America to bestow onto him its top prize - the Emmy. Okay, not really, but he's been robbed the past two years!
The season finale of "House" airs on Tuesday. Emmy nods are announced July 19.
"Access Hollywood" anchor Nancy O'Dell still has a month to go before she welcomes her daughter into the world, but she's already got a name picked out - Ashby Grace.
"Ashby was my grandfather's name. I looked it up and I confirmed that it was dual gender and it means strength like the ash tree. Grace is a family name in [husband] Keith [Zubchevich]'s family and we both said from when we first met each other that if we had a little girl we would want Grace as part of her name."
O'Dell, already a stepmom to Tyler, 11, and Carson, 7, and her hubby were also playing the alphabet game with the name choice.
"We figure with an 'A' name, she will have a chance to be first in line for some things -- at least where they don't go alphabetically by last name."
The blonde bombshell went on maternity leave today.
Mary Cheney and her partner, Heather Poe, are proud parents to a boy, named Samuel David Cheney.
Samuel arrived at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday morning Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C., weighing in at 8 lbs., 6 oz.
Little Sammy makes Vice President Dick Cheney a grandfather for the sixth time, something he is "pleased" about, according to a statement released through his spokeswoman Megan McGinn.
