Text Box: Mount Saint Alphonsus has quickly become known as an excellent location for Weddings. The Mount couples a magnificent stone building with more than four hundred sprawling acres of fields, woodlands and orchards, overlooking the Hudson River. Aesthetically, there is nothing more pleasing to the eye than their building and grounds. But having a Wedding at Mount Saint Alphonsus gives more than a great venue for photographs.

With towering ceilings, and hallways that seem to never end, the Mount was constructed by hand more than one hundred years ago.

The Mount�s granite walls are three feet thick, and interrupted only by over five hundred windows that create a light-filled space throughout the building. All of the materials that constructed the castle-like building were shipped up the same river that Henry Hudson himself sailed up hundreds of years before.

The Mount�s chapel cannot be matched, with natural marble floors, gold highlights, and a priceless stained-glass window collection unlike any collection in the world. The walls of the chapel are adorned with priceless relics, mosaics and statuary. Catholic Weddings can be held in the Mount�s majestic cathedral-like chapel, and other Weddings in other special rooms, or on one of their large lawns outdoors.

The grounds of the Mount were once used for farming, something that continues today on a smaller scale with apple orchards. Deer, bald eagles and other wildlife call the grounds of the Mount home. Striking views of the Hudson Valley are visible at Mount Saint Alphonsus, allowing guests to enjoy a brilliance not seen anywhere else.

Weddings and Receptions, and rehearsals and other wedding-related events are all available at the Mount, whether held indoors or outside on the beautiful grounds. The Mount�s fees and charges are very reasonable. You will not find a more unique place anywhere�imagine a reception in our four story library, a room that is exquisite and still filled with books that are hundreds of years old. Picture your cocktail hour in our one of a kind dance hall and auditorium. These a just a couple of examples that make the Mount different from every other place!
