The release date Nintendo set for Pokémon Gold and Silver was October 16th, but retailers scoring early shipments of the game have opted to sell copies the moment they arrive in stores. We've received calls from multiple Electronics Boutique stores informing us that their shipments have arrived and that they're issuing the first copies to presells, and the leftovers to walk-in traffic.
With more than 600,000 copies presold, it'll be tough to snag a copy if you haven't already put down a deposit on one. But if you have put a few bucks down (or more smartly, paid in full), sit tight and wait for the call from the retailer ¿ or if you're feeling like a pest, give them a call.
