History
What is today known as “Laverton Park Soccer Club” was Founded in 1971 as the Chilean Club of Victoria. Formed by Chilean immigrants as a social and soccer club it served a purpose of keeping the community together whilst enjoying a favourite past time and South American passion, Football. The club first launched a soccer team which was known as Hotham United, due to its location base at the Hotham Community centre in North Melbourne. Since its days as Hotham United, the club has re-located several times and several municipalities as it searched to stabilise and establish a solid base for expansion and growth.
For the past 10 years, the club has established its self at Merton St, Laverton within the Hobsons Bay municipality and re-named itself the Laverton Park Soccer Club.
