All header design submissions should be 900x90 pixels and must be your original designs. In order to display properly on friends pages, please post a thumbnail version (400x40) and link to the full-sized submission. Any entries that are found to violate copyright or trademark protections will be disqualified. The winner will receive a 2,500 LJ tokens. Finalists will get 1,000 LJ tokens. All other participants will get 500 LJ tokens (maximum one award per user). We thank you, again, for sharing your passion and talent with the global LiveJournal community.

Here are some guidelines for successful header designs:
1. Background patterns must have good contrast with the logo and text.
2. Images must have good contrast with the logo and text.
3. The LiveJournal logo can only be white or blue.
4. The image must be able to stretch or repeat to fill 3,000 pixels.

Journal theme contest

It's time to rev up those creative juices for a LiveJournal theme contest! We invite you to post your original designs (thumbnails, with full-sized images under the cut) up through Monday, April 18th, 2011 at 4PM, PDT in remixed. We'll select up to five winners, based on +1 ratings and staff input. Each winner will receive 2,500 LJ Tokens! All other participants will receive 500 LJ Tokens (a maximum of one award per user). Winning themes will be made available to all users without charge. Here are the official rules (you'll also find them posted on the Remixed Profile page). Your style should be based on this sample PSD file. You can style all the elements in the PSD file as you desire. You can resize, reshape, and move any of the elements so long as you keep the sidebar with the 300x250 ad. Be sure not to remove any elements from the PSD file. You can check out other themes for inspiration. The total width must be 940 pixels. There are guides in the PSD file that display the width. The background may extend beyond these limits, but all content (entries, calendar, ad, etc) must stay within these parameters to qualify for the contest. You can only use original images for which you have exclusive rights. If we determine that you do not own an image, your entry will be disqualified. Submit your design as a PNG file. If you win, we'll ask you to submit the PSD file. We can't wait to see your designs! Предлагаем вам принять участие в конкурсе стилей LiveJournal! В этом сообществе вы можете выкладывать свои варианты дизайна шапок LiveJournal.
Раз в месяц совместно с нашей американской командой мы объявляем конкурс – собираем шапки на заданную тему, а затем вы голосуете и выбираете лучшую.
Если вы хотите предложить свой дизайн шапки, вам нужно:

1. Стать участником сообщества.


2. Нарисовать шапку, учитывая тех.требования (см. ниже)


3. Выложить ее в этом сообществе


4. Раз в месяц модератор выставляет присланные дизайны шапок на голосование.

Технические требования.
Вы можете предлагать только те шапки, автором которых являетесь лично.
Размер изображения c дизайном шапки должен быть 900х90 пикселей. Чтобы изображения корректно отображись во френдлентах, выкладывайте в сообщество превью изображений размером 400х40 и добавляйте ссылку на полноразмерный дизайн.

Все дизайны, нарушающие авторские права или исключительное право на товарный знак, будут дисквалифицированы. Победитель получит 2 500 жжетонов, финалисты получат 1000 жжетонов. Все другие участники получат по 500 жжетонов (один приз одному блоггеру!).
