Heavies in arms: the two main European Theater bomber types of World War 2... the Consolidated B-24J Liberator 'Witchcraft' and Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress 'Nine O Nine' from the Collings Foundation over the Pacific Ocean earlier this month. Both bombers saw service in the Pacific Theater was well along with the larger B-29 Superfortress.The Collings Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour has headed north in California and are currently at Moffett Federal Airfield then tomorrow heading to Livermore Municipal Airport through the 30th.
