The season premiere of “America’s Got Talent” on NBC, as expected, was the dominant force on this first Tuesday in June. But 7.07 million viewers and a 0.9 rating/6 share in adults 18-49 from 8-10 p.m. pales in comparison to its heyday. And it led into medical drama “New Amsterdam” at 3.98 million viewers (#1) and a 0.5/ 4 (#1) in the demo, which did not necessarily benefit.
Elsewhere, the finale of ABC’s limited series “Mike Tyson: The Knockout” concluded with a quiet 2.55 million viewers (#3) and a 0.4/ 3 (#2t) from 8-10 p.m. Fox competition series “LEGO Masters” returned with a mere 1.53 million viewers (#4) and a 0.3/ 2 in adults 18-49 (#4) at 8 p.m. Lead-out “Mental Samurai” dipped to 1.13 million viewers (#4) and a 0.3/ 2 (#4) in the demo at 9 p.m. And the Tuesday 9 p.m. installment of “Superman & Lois” on The CW (Viewers: #5, 901,000; A18-49: #5, 0.1/ 1) was the only other original series of the evening.
