Product description
England in the '50s: successful businessman Robin Cavendish (Andrew Garfield) and beautiful and extraordinary Diane Blacker (Claire Foy) fall in love head over heels with each other and marry shortly thereafter. When the young couple expects offspring, the happiness of the two lovers is perfect. But in December 1958, the Cavendishs' lives are turned upside down from one moment to another: at the age of just 28, Robin is paralyzed by an infection from the neck down.
Against all resistance, Diane stands by her husband and gives him back his freedom through dedication and her courage to make unconventional decisions. Together they face any restrictions, inspire their environment with lust for life and humour and make life worth living again for themselves and many others.

Eine Mutige Frau
Reviewed in Germany on 18 July 2026Ein Wunderschöner Film

Reviewed in Germany on 15 May 2023Ich hatte Gänsehaut von diesem Film.

Auch Cavendish will sterben.
