The Borough will begin leaf collection on October 12, 2026 thru December 18, 2026. Residents are encouraged to have leaves ready for collection by piles being free of sticks, branches, and other debris. Please remember to not place the piles in the street. Rehabilitation of the Tenth Street Retaining Wall- To begin August 24th Weather Pending
Doug Lamb Construction will begin the 10th Street retaining wall rehabilitation project the week of August 24th, weather pending. The project is the rehabilitation of the existing retaining wall between 10th Street and Peach St. near the intersection with Hummel Avenue. I-83 South Bridge Project
The I-83 South Bridge Project aims to improve traffic flow and safety in the Harrisburg metro area. The I-83 John Harris Memorial (South) Bridge, built in 1960 and widened in 1982, connects downtown Harrisburg to Cumberland County. Carrying over 125,000 vehicles daily, it is nearing the end of its lifespan, requiring frequent repairs. The project will replace the bridge, reconfigure the Lemoyne interchange, replace the S. 3rd Street bridge, and reconstruct the viaduct from the Susquehanna River to Cameron Street, including the Front Street/2nd Street interchange.
