🌟 That’s a wrap for the 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of the ArbCEE 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭, which took place in 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐭, 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, on 18-19 September 2026. ⛵ Two days on the Baltic coast, more than 40 arbitration practitioners from over 10 #CEE jurisdictions, and one question at the center: what makes us 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 in international arbitration? 💡 The event started with a special keynote address from the 𝐏𝐂𝐀 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 Marcin Czepelak on managing communication in international arbitration. 🎤 Across six academic sessions, led by excellent discussion leaders Matei PURICE, Ondrej Cech, Eva Kalnina, Dr. Denis Parchajev, FCIArb, Dr. Eveli Lume, Wojciech Sadowski, Krzysztof Riedl, PhD, Jadranka Jakovcic, Alina Leoveanu, Roman Kramarik, Ziva Filipic and Michal Kocur, we looked at persuasion and effectiveness: ▪️ when dealing with the client ▪️ in written advocacy ▪️ in oral advocacy ▪️ when working with witnesses and experts ▪️ in the relationship between the tribunal and the parties ▪️ within the tribunal itself What made the Retreat special were the exchanges between all the attendees, discussion leaders and participants alike. Everyone contributed from their own experience as counsel, arbitrator, or expert. We discussed real life challenges and questions, and real life, practical solutions. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Sopot and made these two days so engaging. A big thank you to our Gold Sponsors ByArb, Hanotiau Tossens Goldman, Łaszczuk & Partners, Motieka & Audzevičius, Squire Patton Boggs and 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐤 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and our Silver Sponsors Kocur & Partners and ZEILER Rechtsanwälte. With the media support of the Court of Arbitration at the PCC. We're already looking forward to the fifth edition! 📣 ArbCEE is delighted to make its debut at the Berlin Dispute Resolution Days! 💡 Join us for breakfast on 29 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 2026 at CMS in 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧 to explore what happens when a state court finds 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝. Across Europe, arbitration laws take strikingly different approaches. Some courts may set aside an award and send the case back to the tribunal. Others can suspend annulment proceedings and give the tribunal an opportunity to cure the defect before the award is set aside. In other jurisdictions, there is no remand at all – and the parties may have to start the arbitration afresh. Join us for coffee and breakfast, and take the opportunity to catch up and connect with fellow arbitration practitioners. 🎤 As always, we are bringing together leading arbitration practitioners: Dr. Eveli Lume, Dr. Greg Lourie, Marija Scekic, Barbora Šnáblová, Alicja Zielinska-Eisen and Dr. Evgenia Peiffer. 📅 Tuesday, September 29, 2026 ⌚ 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM 📌 CMS Lennéstraße 7 10785 Berlin Register here: https://lnkd.in/di9sHeRJ Thank you CMS for generously hosting us!
