Meet the Board: Andy Ziegwied Andy Ziegwied is a Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech) and founder of Blue Functionality, a Pacific Northwest consultancy working at the intersection of uncrewed maritime systems, ocean data, and power systems. Over the past two decades, Andy has helped advance the uncrewed maritime industry through leadership roles with Open Ocean Robotics, Ocean Aero, Saildrone, L3Harris (formerly ASV Global), and MacArtney Underwater Technology. He also chairs the Marine Technology Society's Uncrewed Maritime Systems Committee. As a member of the AUVSI Cascade Chapter Board, Andy brings an important maritime perspective to the conversation, helping connect the region's aviation and maritime communities around shared challenges in safety, regulation, autonomy, and public acceptance.
