  • It was wonderful to be in Townsville last week for our #Brisbane2032 Board. Brisbane 2032 Board Directors Patrick Johnson OLY and Angie Ballard alongside CEO Cindy Hook for a visit to St Patrick's Catholic School – The Strand, where they met with students to talk all things Olympic and Paralympic Games. Hearing the students' questions, ideas and aspirations was a powerful reminder that our Games is about inspiring a generation and creating opportunities that will benefit communities right across Queensland for years to come. • It was fantastic to spend time in Sydney and Melbourne this past week, sharing the story of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Emblems and highlighting the opportunities the Games will create for businesses across Australia. These are cities that know the power of hosting a Games. This year marks 70 years since Melbourne 1956, the first Olympic Games held in Australia. Sydney 2000 followed, delivering Australia’s second Olympic Games and its first Paralympic Games. Now, the spotlight is turning to Queensland. But we can't do it alone. Brisbane 2032 belongs to all of Australia, and Sydney and Melbourne will play an important role as Co-Host cities on the road to 2032. As we prepare to welcome millions of visitors and a global audience of billions, opportunities across sectors will extend well beyond Queensland's borders. The Games are a chance to showcase not only Brisbane and Queensland, but the innovation, capability and creativity of our nation. The road to 2032 is well underway, and it's exciting to see businesses across the country eager to be part of the journey. (ID: 1.
