It’s #FlashbackFriday! In 1958, every California vehicle registration expired at midnight on December 31. As the number of vehicles grew, the DMV needed a more efficient system. In 1976, year-round registration renewals were added to the California Vehicle Code, making the process easier for customers and team members alike. That commitment to modernization continues today. Customers can skip the office visit and complete their vehicle registration renewals online, anywhere and at any time.
