The wall between public and private markets is coming down. Whether that’s the biggest access story in a generation or a rush into assets you can’t sell is the question. Thank you to our Supporting Sponsor, Gemini Markets. Ryan Todd joins “The New Access Economy” panel at The Unshaken Investor in NYC on Tuesday, Oct 27. The panel will dig into what serious allocators are actually buying, how to judge quality when everyone is selling scarcity, and what access costs once you’re locked in. • She was poached by “the most powerful woman on Wall Street.” I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Ellevest CEO Sylvia S. Kwan, CFA, CAIA, who joined us to tackle 3 Pressing Questions on women, money and wealth. We discussed: • What holds women back when it comes to money? In a previous Ellevest survey, just 36% of women said they invest, compared with 63% of men. Why? • How to get in the game, no matter how much you have • The cold message from Wall Street legend Sallie Krawcheck that changed Sylvia’s career • How to navigate the Great Wealth Transfer, with trillions of dollars expected to shift • Money and wellbeing: How to pursue financial success beyond returns 🎙️ New Behind the Business episode out now on YouTube: https://bit.ly/YTBTB - Apple Podcasts: http://bit.ly/3IFGuIA  - Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotiBTB  #investing #personalfinance #womeninfinance #businesspodcast

If we’ve worked together, you know that helping people create plans to diversify their concentrated stock positions is one of my favorite topics. It involves so much emotion, psychology, and often represents a moment when all of your hard work is recognized. I’m excited to join Audrey Paris Giannini, CPA on October 29th to discuss how people who have recently gone through an IPO (or will in the future) can start planning. High rates. Policy whiplash. Midterms. Geopolitical headlines. A market increasingly focused on the AI trade. There's no shortage of variables for serious investors to consider. The harder question is which signals deserve action and which are just noise. That's the exact premise we're unpacking next week at The Unshaken Investor, Brew Markets' event built for serious allocators, investors and operators working to better understand the current state of the market, where judgments can go wrong, and how to position for uncertainty without reacting to every headline. Here's what we'll cover: 📖 Peter Boockvar on what past market cycles can teach us about risk management today and where the lessons stop applying. 💰 Danielle DiMartino Booth, Daniel Ives, and Erin Delmore on what's priced in and where their macro and tech lenses differ on what is being missed. 🧠 Daniel P. Egan on the behavioral side of building a portfolio that can last and what can be learned from the psychology of investing. 🚪 Kavita Datta, Emily Green, Mike Dinsdale, CFA, and Ryan Todd on the "new" access economy, exploring which doors to private markets are genuinely new, and which are old products in new packaging. Expect a candid debate about who gets access and what it costs in fees, lockups, and liquidity once the pitch wears off. 🤯 And finally, Peter Tuchman, best known as the "Einstein of Wall Street", on what he's learned from decades of experience on the NYSE floor. If you're deciding what to do with capital in a market this loud, this is the room you want to be in. Save your seat in the comments! 🎟️

Women aren’t risk-averse. We’re risk-aware. That line from Ellevest CEO Sylvia S. Kwan, CFA, CAIA, matches what we see every day. Our early-2026 report found that 67% of women investors plan new venture deployments in 2026, many of them in private markets for the first time. And 77% invest with a values lens. Sylvia makes a point we agree with: access to private markets isn’t the main barrier anymore. What’s missing is engagement, education, and a way to find the right opportunities. If women don’t know an opportunity exists, they can’t invest in it. We're working to close this gap by: → Helping women learn how venture works before they write their first check → Connecting investors with women-founded companies aligned with their values → Building a community of women operators ready to bring other women to the table with them $124 trillion will change hands in the U.S. by 2048, and women will inherit most of it. What matters now is where that capital goes. Read Sylvia’s full interview with Chief: https://lnkd.in/e4Ubgc2j Read our report: https://lnkd.in/eaY5FJxi

  • If you're not following Lindsey Stanberry, Alicia Adamczyk, and The Purse then you're really missing out ... 👇🏼

As founder of The Purse, I think about growth ALL THE TIME. Like, all the time. I'm always reading about hacks and tricks and advice on what moves the needle and what doesn't. The prevailing advice is that your Instagram grid doesn't matter anymore. I'm going to beg to differ. Design does matter. And our Instagram looks good. Yesterday, we published our 100th Instagram post since we relaunched in January. At the time, we had roughly 2,500 followers. Today, we have 14,000+. It's purely been organic growth. Granted 14,000 is arguably still a small audience. Playing around in the back of Meta Business, the platform argues we have a potential audience of 250,000+. I'm sure it would like me to pay to acquire some of those followers. And we will, at some point. But today, I want to celebrate our 100th post and our steadily growing audience. The success is thanks to Alicia Adamczyk and Christopher Skinner, who are creating most of our gorgeous assets that make our grid look so good. I just pick the music! (And write the captions.) If you don't follow The Purse on Instagram, you should! We're having a lot of fun and looking good while we do it. Just take a look!
