Energy costs can place added pressure on already-tight school budgets, but improving efficiency does not always require a major capital project. Schools can achieve meaningful energy savings through low-cost measures that improve the efficiency of existing building systems and optimize energy use without breaking the bank. Looking for practical ways to improve energy efficiency at your school? Our team can help you explore these options and others ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eBq-U7j

What happens to a charger, laptop or other electronic device when you're finished with it? Today is International E-Waste Day, a reminder that electronics deserve a little more thought at the end of their useful life. And while e-waste gets the spotlight today, responsible waste management doesn't stop with electronics. A thoughtful sustainability plan takes a wider view, looking for opportunities to reduce landfill waste across the materials we use every day. At Energy Sciences, that means finding appropriate paths for everything from electronics and batteries to cardboard, cans, styrofoam and food waste. Swipe through for a few ways organizations can think beyond the recycling bin.

You may be surprised by what can be made from extra cardboard, craft supplies, old clothing, and other materials that might’ve been headed for the landfill or recycling bin. If you have considered starting with items you already have at home instead of buying a costume that may only be worn once, we've put together a few slides with some fun ideas on how to get started! A homemade costume does not have to be complicated, sewn, or require experience or skill. Sometimes, a little imagination is all it takes to create something memorable from what you already have. What creative costume ideas have you tried?

Capital improvements are important investments. In some cases, they may also qualify for utility rebates that can help offset project costs. Our approach is simple: ∙ You share your project list, equipment information, or a short description of the work. ∙ We’ll review the details, identify potential incentives, and help prepare and submit your application. For a limited time, we are offering our rebate application support service at no cost for prescriptive projects completed so far in 2026 or are planned to be completed by the end of October. This may include lighting, HVAC, controls, motor replacements, and other qualifying equipment or system improvements. Not sure if your project qualifies? Call or email us today—we’d love to help you find potential rebates. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gmcRzUFs

Every year, we look forward to one of our favorite traditions: bringing the Energy Sciences team together in one place. This year's Annual In-Person Event at Hub Stadium gave us the opportunity to connect beyond our day-to-day work over great food, meaningful conversations, football bowling, archery, mega darts, and virtual golf. While the activities are always a lot of fun, what makes this event special is the chance to strengthen relationships, learn from one another, reflect on what we've accomplished together, and talk about where we're headed next. As a team that works across multiple states and disciplines, those moments of connection matter. We're proud of what we've achieved over the past year and grateful for the people who make it possible. Here's to another year of learning, growing, and creating impact together.
