Congrats to Niamh B. O'Hara and the Biotia team on raising an oversubscribed $9M financing to expand infectious disease diagnostics in women's health and orthopedics. Biotia uses pathogen genomics and AI to help clinicians identify the cause of challenging infections. Its BIOTIA-ID Urine Test focuses on recurrent and complicated UTIs, where standard testing can leave patients without clear answers, and is available to physicians and patients in all 50 states. The new funding will help the team scale its New York City lab, expand its test menu, and bring its diagnostics into more clinical settings. Excited to see the team build on this next chapter! A plant can be under stress long before its leaves tell you. What if we could read the signals coming from inside it? Electric Plant is building that interface. Its Bud sensor records a plant’s electrical activity, and Bombadil, its new foundation AI model, translates those signals into a clearer picture of the plant’s health. Trained on more than 4 million hours of recordings across 100 species, Bombadil estimates seven physiological stress markers, including water stress. The goal is to help people understand what a plant needs without relying only on soil readings or visible symptoms. Today, Electric Plant is emerging from stealth with $11.2M in seed funding. We’re proud to back Justin Mast, Lee M von Kraus, PhD, and the team as they bring a new layer of visibility to plant care. Congratulations to the team on the launch! Buildings generate plenty of data. The teams running them still struggle to get a clear picture of what’s happening. When occupancy, maintenance, and workplace data live in separate systems, even basic questions take work: Which spaces are underused? What needs attention? Where can we cut costs? That’s what Trebellar is building: one AI-powered platform that connects the data and helps teams act on it. With their $18M Series A, Diego Ferreiro Val and the team are bringing that approach to more enterprise real estate portfolios. Excited to be part of the journey! cc Jenny Fielding, Scott Hartley, Michael Barone, Eileen McRae, Diego Ferreiro Val #PropTech #AI #EverywhereVentures

One of the best parts of early-stage investing is watching founders uncover massive opportunities hiding in plain sight. Outmarket AI is tackling one of those problems in insurance: critical policy details buried across hundreds of pages that can materially change what a business is actually covered for. Their AI helps brokers surface exclusions, compare policies, and understand coverage gaps faster and more clearly. Excited to see what Anshu Jain, Vishal Sankhla, and the team build next following their $34.5M Series B! Huge congrats to Matt Biringer, Yassine Açoine, and the North team on raising a $32M Series B, led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from Litquidity Ventures, Companyon Ventures, Alpaca VC, Uncommon Denominator, Gaingels, and Mana Ventures. North is tackling a growing infrastructure challenge for modern companies: as cloud, AI, and data spend converge, finance and engineering teams are being asked to manage increasingly complex infrastructure economics across fragmented tools and workflows. North brings that into one system, helping teams understand, optimize, and increasingly automate spend across critical infrastructure providers. The platform is now approaching $2B in managed cloud spend and has helped customers save more than $400M. What stands out is the shift from visibility to action. The team is building toward a model where infrastructure optimization becomes increasingly autonomous, reducing the manual work required from finance and engineering teams while improving margins and freeing up capital for growth. We’re excited for what’s next as the team continues to scale the platform! Congrats to Gianluca Varisco, Guglielmo Reina, and the Netsec team on raising more than €8.93M to scale their AI-native cybersecurity and IT platform across Europe and the United States. Netsec is taking on a real pain point for mid-market companies: IT and security operations have become fragmented across too many tools, vendors, contracts, portals, and escalation paths. Netsec brings that stack into one unified control plane across device management, identity, networking, infrastructure, security operations, help desk, and cloud. What stands out is the operating model. Netsec gives companies the security and IT operations of a much larger organization without requiring them to build that team in-house. The platform can ingest an existing stack, map gaps, and go live quickly, with service delivered directly through Slack or Microsoft Teams. We are excited to see Netsec continue building at the intersection of cybersecurity, managed IT, and automation, and excited to invest alongside long time friends at Primo Capital. Great to see Spade merchant data now integrated directly into Increase card transactions. For card programs, the difference between a confusing transaction descriptor and a clear merchant record matters. It affects user trust, fraud decisions, authorizations, rewards, spend controls, analytics, and the overall customer experience. Through the integration, transactions processed through Increase can now include a Spade enrichment record with merchant trading and legal names, logo, website, phone number, physical location, and detailed industry classification. Spade's Merchant Graph covers 99.9% of businesses across the US and Canada, links locations to parent brands and owners, and helps identify merchants even when transaction descriptors change. That means card programs can show cardholders charges they recognize, make more precise authorization decisions, and build richer financial products from the first transaction. Congrats to Oban MacTavish, Tess Bloch and the Spade team on another strong example of how better merchant intelligence can become core financial infrastructure. As the next generation of AI infrastructure comes online, the question is no longer just who can build bigger data centers. It’s where compute should live, how it should be powered, and what happens when energy becomes the constraint. That is why the idea of putting AI data centers in space is moving from science fiction into serious company-building territory. In orbit, solar power is effectively continuous. The terrestrial grid is not the bottleneck. Compute can be powered by abundant space-based energy and the output can be transmitted back to Earth. Fast Company captured the shift well: Google, SpaceX, Nvidia, and a growing group of startups are all exploring whether orbital compute can help solve AI's power problem. There are real challenges ahead, from launch cost and cooling to latency, space debris, and reliability. But the direction of travel is clear. The AI infrastructure stack is expanding beyond Earth. This is one reason we are excited by what Starcloud is building. The larger point is not that every data center moves to orbit tomorrow. It's that AI is forcing us to rethink the physical architecture of computing itself. Power, cooling, location, transmission, and resilience are becoming core parts of the AI story.
