About us
Zipline was founded to create the first logistics system that serves all humans equally. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges. Leveraging expertise in robotics and autonomy, Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated delivery system. Zipline serves tens of millions of people around the world and is making good on the promise of building an equitable and more resilient global supply chain. From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart and enabling leading healthcare providers to bring care into the home in the United States, Zipline is transforming the way goods move. By transitioning to clean, electric, instant logistics, we can decarbonize delivery, decrease road congestion, and reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access for billions of people. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Zipline is inspiring people, governments, and businesses to imagine what is possible when goods can move as seamlessly as information. Post-partum hemorrhaging is the leading cause of maternal death worldwide, killing more than 70,000 mothers every year. The majority of these deaths are preventable. A timely delivery saved 24-year-old Theonile’s life when she gave birth to her son earlier this year. Since launching in Rwanda maternal mortality is down 51% in hospitals serviced by Zipline.

The Government of Côte d'Ivoire and Zipline have signed an 8-year partnership to expand the country's health logistics network from 1 to 10 hubs nationwide. Led by the Ministry of Health and supported in part by the U.S. Department of State, the expansion will reach more than 12 million people and 2,200 health facilities. This builds on the proven success of our first hub in Daloa. Beyond drones, this partnership is about creating a responsive, resilient, and equitable health system that delivers essential medical supplies to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Thank you to the Government of Côte d'Ivoire and the U.S. Department of State. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dUBT_Hfr

How do you fly in wind, rain, and heat with no one on board? How do you land a package on a spot the size of a doormat? How do you make it work every day, at scale? Nest Z is one of our testing sites in Yolo County, California, where engineers test aircraft and solve hard problems so they can do real work every day. Want to be part of it? We're hiring: https://lnkd.in/gSmAfhqP

What if healthcare were designed to reach communities rather than asking people to overcome barriers to access it? That’s what our partner Zipline is working to make possible. By delivering HIV testing, prevention and treatment directly to people, wherever and whenever they need it, Zipline is rethinking what access to care can look like for communities that are often hardest to reach. The impact speaks volumes. Caitlin Burton, CEO of Zipline Africa shares that Zipline reaches 24 times more high-risk young people than clinic-based care in the same region, with 94% returning for their first-month PrEP refill. This is a powerful example of how meeting people where they are doesn’t only expand access but helps people stay engaged in care.
