Thank you for bringing together so many healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing organ and tissue donation. We're proud to have Geisinger team members among these Donation Champions and grateful for their commitment to supporting patients, families and communities across our region.
On October 7, Gift of Life Donor Program hosted an Organ and Tissue Donation Champion Learning Session in Danville, PA! We were happy to welcome 26 critical care nurses and 12 respiratory therapists from hospitals across our region, including Allied Services Rehab Hospital, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Geisinger, Penn State Health Holy Spirit, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and UPMC Williamsport. Thank you to all who attended and left in action as a Donation Champion! For Geisinger employees Amy Morgan and Mary Pollock, who are from Mifflin County, participating in the Pledge the Pink 3-Day, 30-Mile Walk is about more than the miles. It's about supporting those affected by breast cancer and raising awareness for a cause that has touched so many lives. For Mary, a 14-year breast cancer survivor, the mission is deeply personal. Together, she and Amy walk to honor survivors, remember loved ones and offer hope to those currently facing a diagnosis. Their commitment reflects the strength and community spirit that inspire others both inside and outside of Geisinger.

For Mark Jordan, RN, Geisinger is more than where he works. It’s part of his family’s story. 💙 After his children received lifesaving care at Geisinger following a serious accident, Mark eventually found a second career in nursing. He started as an LPN and continued his education while working, growing into his role as an RN at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. Today, he gets to care for people in the same community that has supported his own family along the way. For Mark, every familiar face is a reminder of what it means to care for your neighbors.
