❤️ Thank You to our Co-Chairs! Three days of #GAC2026 are behind us, and we want to take a moment to thank our Co-Chairs, Emma Buelte, Jeremias Thiel and Sandrina Murphy. 🌟 Putting together a conference like this takes months of hard work, countless hours, and a lot of dedication behind the scenes. Rethinking Transatlanticism: New Visions for a Shifting Relationship — Join us: Oct 9–11, 2026
About us
The 18th German American Conference at Harvard University will take place from October 9–11, 2026, under the theme “Rethinking Transatlanticism: New Visions for a Stifting Relationship“. The German American Conference (GAC) is the largest transatlantic student-led conference of its kind, providing a unique platform for leaders from academia, business, society, and politics to engage with passionate young minds. We are committed to question the familiar and discuss impulses for action in fields such as society, culture, and technology as well as business and politics, creating an inclusive space for open, interdisciplinary exchange among curious current and future leaders from both sides of the Atlantic—and beyond.

About last night 🥂 The Speakers’ Dinner is an integral part of the German American Conference and takes place at the prestigious Harvard Club of Boston. Our Co-Chairs Jeremias Thiel, Sandrina Murphy and Emma Buelte thanked all those who shaped this year’s conference, and Gudrun Engel addressed the audience with impressions from her tour around the U.S., just weeks before the midterms. 🌟Year after year, the Speakers’ Dinner remains one of the conference’s many highlights, bringing together inspiring speakers and supporters. A heartfelt thank you to all our speakers and supporters who made this year’s conference possible. I am transatlantic at heart, so really looking forward to this year’s German American Conference in Boston! With all that’s going on in the world, it’s crucial to think beyond the present and to design the transatlantic relationship for the decades to come. I will be around for the conference weekend and look forward to discussing new ideas, especially everything at the intersection of tech, policy and government. Join me for... ... an interactive workshop on Government AI, where we explore how the US and German administrations are doing in this new day and age of technology changing every two weeks, and white-collar government jobs fundamentally changing (or are they?). There are a few spots left! ... a coffee chat on Saturday afternoon – happy to answer all your questions on government, public sector innovation and entrepreneurship. The session is booked out, but just give me a ping here and we will find some time for a coffee or drink!

Alles Gute zum Tag der Deutschen Einheit! 🇩🇪🥳 36 years ago, Germany was reunited. On October 3, 1990, decades of division came to an end. The road to unity was shaped by the courage of Germans who peacefully demanded freedom, and by allies who stood with them. In 1963, John F. Kennedy stood in Berlin and declared, „Ich bin ein Berliner.“ Twenty-four years later, Ronald Reagan stood at the Brandenburg Gate and called for the Wall to come down. Two moments. One city. And, ultimately, a Wall that fell. Happy German Unity Day. 🖤❤️💛 • • • #GermanAmericanConference #TagDerDeutschenEinheit #GermanUnityDay
