At Hecker Fink LLP, we practice law at the highest level, guided by our core values of integrity, innovation, and excellence. Our lawyers are efficient, diverse, collaborative, and focused on one singular goal-- achieving the best possible results for our clients through fierce advocacy, creative strategies, and forward-looking advice. Hecker Fink LLP received a “shout-out” in Am Law Litigation Daily’s “Litigator of the Week” feature for their representation of the National Job Corps Association (NJCA) in a challenge to the U.S. Department of Labor’s May 2025 efforts to terminate the Job Corps program, which provides workforce training and other services for thousands of disadvantaged young people nationwide. The Hecker Fink team secured a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction that blocked the Department’s attempts to effectively shut down the program. Last week, the team finalized a settlement between the National Job Corps Association and other key Job Corps stakeholders and the Department of Labor, which reversed the Department’s actions to terminate the program and secured long-term protections for Job Corps. The Hecker Fink team includes Amy Jeffress, Max Feldman, Minahil Khan, and Disha Verma. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g2mrQZs7.

Hecker Fink LLP attorneys Sean Hecker, David Gopstein, and Jacob Steiner co-authored a chapter in The Global Legal Post's “White-Collar Crime Comparative Guide” examining developments in securities and corporate misconduct. The chapter, “Securities and Corporate Misconduct: Prediction Markets, Rule 10b5-1 Insider Trading, and Corporate Self-Disclosure,” highlights three areas lawyers should monitor: the developing regulation of prediction markets, insider trading investigations involving Rule 10b5-1, and the Department of Justice's new corporate enforcement policy governing self-disclosure. Shawn Crowley and Kate Epstein recently shared guidance on representing survivors of sexual assault in the Summer 2026 issue of the American Bar Association Litigation Journal, "How to Prepare Survivors for Testimony That Lands." Shawn and Kate outline a client-centered approach that integrates trauma-informed fact-finding, strategic use of the Federal Rules of Evidence, and techniques for drawing the sting from difficult material on direct examination—so that survivors can share their stories in their own words, on their own terms. "Our job is to let our clients speak honestly about what happened to them and show the jury why justice requires a verdict in their favor," Shawn and Kate write. "By building a real relationship with your client, preparing for bad facts, drawing the sting from potential cross-examination, and creating space for authentic testimony, you can set your client—and the case—up for success."
