Tariff & Trade Update: What Importers and Exporters Should Know Read the full update here: https://lnkd.in/gSX87C8g Customs requirements and trade regulations continue to change, creating new considerations for importers, exporters, and supply chain planning. Key developments: ➣ Customs Processing Fees increase October 1, with the minimum Merchandise Processing Fee rising to $34.58 and the maximum increasing to $670.86. The 0.3464% rate remains unchanged. ➣ CBP is enhancing enforcement of Form 5106, and inaccurate or incomplete Importer of Record information may result in an IOR number being voided. Businesses should confirm their information is current. ➣ CAPE Phase 3 IEEPA refunds are expected to begin October 6, covering certain finally liquidated entries for eligible plaintiffs. Importers should review potentially affected entries and applicable deadlines. ➣ New Section 232 duties on unmanned aircraft systems and components are in effect, with rates ranging from 10% to 100% on certain products. These developments highlight the importance of reviewing classifications, customs documentation, and applicable duties as trade requirements change.
