  • Exciting news part 2! Intero Biosystems has been awarded a $350k Phase I SBIR from NIH NCATS to advance our human gut motility model. We're excited to continue developing more human-relevant tools for understanding how drugs, supplements, food ingredients, and other compounds affect the human gut before they ever reach patients. Another huge shoutout to our grant team Jason R. Spence, Madeline Eiken, PhD, and Sophia Meyer on another huge win this week. If you're interested in predicting human gut motility responses earlier in development, we'd love to connect!

  • Our team is excited to share that Intero Biosystems has been awarded $2M+ in Phase II SBIR funding from the National Institutes of Health's National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). The award supports continued development of GastroScreen, our multi-lineage, iPSC-derived human intestinal organoid platform for drug discovery and preclinical testing. This funding allows us to accelerate development of GastroScreen for our pharma and biotech partners who need better human-relevant models before the clinic. We are grateful to NCATS for the support, and to our fabulous grant writing team Sophia Meyer, Jason R. Spence and Madeline Eiken, PhD, for the work behind this milestone!
