HBL Microfinance Bank and LAAM Technologies partner to advance women’s financial inclusion. HBL Microfinance Bank and LAAM have signed an agreement under the State Bank of Pakistan’s Women Inclusive Finance Program (WIFP) Challenge Fund. The agreement was signed by Amir Khan, President & CEO, HBL Microfinance Bank, and Arif Iqbal, CEO, LAAM Technologies. Under this partnership, HBL MfB serves as the implementing agency and LAAM as the technology and platform partner. Together, we will develop an e-commerce marketplace with embedded financial services. It will enable women entrepreneurs to sell nationwide, open digital bank accounts, and access sales-based financing, micro-insurance and other financial solutions. Bringing LFW to Karachi for the first time was a defining moment for us. We brought together some of the biggest names in Pakistan fashion and put their work, creativity and vision at the center of one powerful showcase. From the designers and their collections to the talent on the runway and the teams working behind the scenes, every part of it came together to celebrate the scale and energy of Pakistani fashion. Pakistan has always had incredible fashion talent and LFW is about giving that talent the platform it deserves. A bigger stage, a bigger audience and a moment that puts Pakistani fashion where it belongs. Our first LFW Presents in Karachi was a statement of what we want to build for fashion in Pakistan.
