It makes a difference when the people building AI for educators understand what happens in a classroom. Christopher Holt , Supervisor of Instructional Technology at Hillsborough County Public Schools, shares how his team’s experience working with MagicSchool reflects that understanding. From IEP goals to everyday instructional challenges, conversations start with a shared understanding of what educators need. There’s less time spent explaining the context and more time spent finding solutions. It's just one of the reasons having educators involved in building MagicSchool matters so much. 💜

Honoured to deliver an introductory MagicSchool AI session for the Bhutanese Delegation at Manav Rachna University, as a MagicSchool AI Pioneer. The most useful moment came when educators stopped asking “what can AI do?” and started asking “what can it take off my plate so I have more time for students?” We worked through practical use cases: lesson planning, differentiated resources, rubrics, and feedback support, all with the teacher firmly in charge of the pedagogy. AI handles the drafting; educators handle the judgement. Thank you to the delegation for their curiosity and openness, and to the Centre For Advanced Learning and Manav Rachna University. Which classroom task would you hand to an AI assistant first? #MagicSchoolAI #AIinEducation #TeacherProfessionalDevelopment #EdTech #ManavRachna Deependra Kumar Jha | Dr Amit Bhalla | Rashima Vaid Varma | Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Pruthi | Abhimanyu Das Gupta | Adeel Khan

  • MagicStudent gives districts student-safe AI experiences that stay inside teacher-led boundaries, which sets it apart from general-purpose AI tools. In a Student Room, educators choose the tool and set the learning goal the AI works toward. They can upload a rubric so feedback aligns to their standards. The dashboard shows live activity and flags conversations that need a closer look, while room insights track progress on the goal. Leaders get that classroom visibility alongside district-level governance across MagicSchool. Teachers know their students best, so they set the terms. • 92% of survey respondents say their school or district is piloting or operationalizing AI for student use. Only 23% say educators have a great deal of visibility into how students are using it. That gap is where good intentions meet guesswork, and 75% of educators say students should always have supervision or guidance when using AI. MagicStudent gives teachers a place to do exactly that. Educators set the boundaries and guide every student interaction, while district leaders get the visibility and oversight to match. • We asked Jeremy Hill, MagicSchool Ambassador and AI Educator of the Year, and his daughter for their wow moments at ISTE. Jeremy’s is what MagicStudent means for learning at home. Teachers build a Student Room from their own materials, and kids can get help from those materials anytime, even by uploading a photo of handwritten math work. In his words, “every single kid can learn at home if they want to.” His daughter’s is the math review generator. She says it walks her through each step of an equation and makes sure she understands why she’s doing it. #MagicSchool #AIforEducation

Every image MagicSchool generates goes through a moderation pipeline before it reaches a classroom. Caroline Humphrey, Staff Product Manager at MagicSchool, explains how grade level and pedagogical context shape each image, and how our moderation pipeline vets results so they're ready to share with students and teachers. This clip comes from our Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence session, where Caroline also demos the new presentation generator and answers audience questions on curriculum and pedagogy. Denver Public Schools spent a year deciding what it would trust with its classrooms before a single teacher logged in. Their AI Steering Committee ran a structured pilot, issued an RFP, and let teacher, student, and community feedback guide the decision. The result is a rollout built on the district’s own AI guidance, with custom tools for departments from special education to communications. In a new case study from Common Sense Privacy, DPS and MagicSchool share how independent validation, strong safeguards, and a thoughtful approach to implementation helped build trust along the way. Kali Peracchia, Ph.D. , Lead AI Instructional Specialist at Denver Public Schools, describes the partnership as “thoughtful, exciting, and responsible.” What does it take to build trust in a district-wide AI partnership? Read the full story, linked in the comments. 👇
