Clean across it or in circles and every streak sits at an angle to the grain, which is exactly why it stays visible. Three things that fix it: 1. Wipe with the grain. Follow the direction of the lines, straight passes, no circles. 2. Use less product. Too much leaves a film behind, and that film grabs dust and fingerprints faster than bare steel does. 3. Finish with a dry cloth. One cloth to clean, a second dry one to buff. That second pass is what removes the streaking. And the one to avoid: never use bleach or anything chlorine based on stainless.
