The Gabriel House fire will forever be a painful moment for Massachusetts. But that night, we also saw extraordinary courage. We honored 40 Fall River firefighters who will tell you they were just doing their jobs. But to the people they saved, their families, and all of us, they're heroes. And we're forever grateful.

When Steward closed Nashoba Valley Medical Center, I promised Massachusetts would protect access to high-quality care. Now, a new Satellite Emergency Facility — one of residents top priorities — is becoming a reality. Ralph de la Torre failed this community. There’s more work ahead to repair the damage he caused. We’re going to see it through.

Too many people — including young people — are buying dangerous kratom products without knowing how potent they are or the health risks. That’s why I’m taking action to get it off store shelves, protect our kids, and prevent needless tragedies. https://lnkd.in/gP5z4HY5

Earlier this year, I brought together health care leaders to answer a simple question: How can we deliver the high-quality care Massachusetts is known for in a way people can actually afford? Now, we’re working on lowering costs, taking on out-of-network charges and prescription drug prices, investing in primary care, addressing workforce shortages, cutting red tape, and preventing avoidable hospital stays. While President Trump kicks people off their health care and drives up costs, Massachusetts isn’t waiting for Washington. We’re getting to work.

The bad news: the World Cup is over. The good news: MBTA Commuter Rail savings just went into extra time. Free Fridays are here through August, and we're extending half price monthly passes and $1 weekend companion fares through November. That's a win for riders all over Massachusetts.

Massachusetts has had an incredible summer. The best part? It's not over yet, and neither are the savings on the MBTA. On top of discounts happening through August, we're rolling out new ways to save this fall: an unlimited 2 hour transfer window, $1.70 express bus fares, and fare-free service for seniors 75+ without a license. We've spent the past three years getting the T back on track. Now, we're making it more affordable to get where you need to go.

President Trump is doubling down on his failed tariff strategy — and sticking Americans with the bill. Prices are already high because of his reckless war with Iran. Families and businesses can't afford to pay another Trump tax.
President Donald Trump is invoking a 1930 trade law to impose whopping 50% tariffs on certain Canadian goods. The move threatens a broader trade war with the United States’ second-top trading partner. The impacted Canadian goods range from electric equipment, such as refrigeration, to machinery, according to annexes of three proclamations Trump signed on Monday. The tariffs wouldn’t take effect for 30 days. Trump cited Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930, a law that allows a president to tariff goods up to 50% without congressional approval when a country is believed to be discriminating against American goods. However, the law has never been applied this way. Read more: https://cnn.it/4wahcWn

I've had the honor of calling Bob Cousy a friend for more than a decade, and I can honestly say he's every bit as special off the court as he was on it. Humble. Gracious. Funny. Kind. That's who Cooz is. Today we dedicated the Bob Cousy Pass in Worcester, right by his alma mater College of the Holy Cross. It feels right that his hometown will forever have a reminder of everything he's meant — not just to basketball, but to Massachusetts and to so many of us who grew up looking up to him. Love you, Cooz. Thank you for everything you've given to this state, to the game, and to generations of kids like me who dreamed bigger because of you.
