Our CEO Chris Taylor joined Blackstone’s Global Head of BXN1 Jasvinder Khaira on stage at The Information’s AI Agenda Live to talk about what it takes to move enterprise AI from pilot to production. The discussion covered how non-AI companies can be among the biggest winners of this moment, and the complexities of implementing custom builds tailored to a company’s own processes and systems. Thank you to Cory Weinberg and The Information for hosting.

Our CTO Eddie Siegel sat down with Jean-Marc Mommessin to discuss how our engineers are helping clients close the gap between what AI models can do and the real business value they deliver. The discussion ranged from building rigorous evals to navigating the complexities of legacy systems integration.
Marktechpost Co-Editor Jean-Marc Mommessin recently sat down for an exclusive talk with Eddie Siegel, CTO/Co-Founder at Ode with Anthropic, about their work in AI. The discussion dives deep into Ode's core AI technology and what lies ahead for AI-driven solutions. https://lnkd.in/guAMxuEK

Ode with Anthropic is opening a South Bay office! I have been working at Ode with Anthropic since April. It has been fantastic getting back to hands-on coding (with agents), while helping clients build AI applications. The one caveat to my experience is that my commute from Cupertino is brutal. However, that changes in October! South Bay folks will work from the new South Bay office Monday through Wednesday, from SF on Thursday, and from home on Friday. We are hiring for Staff Software Engineers who have been Tech Leads. It's okay if you don't have previous experience building AI-powered applications; I learned while onboarding at Ode! Please feel free to reach out if you're interested in learning more! Here is the Staff Software Engineer job listing: https://lnkd.in/gyabHaDK

We just gave out 112lbs of coffee. Last Thursday we hosted our first public event as Ode with Anthropic, 58 floors up in Salesforce Tower (thank you Hellman & Friedman for hosting). Over 120 developers came through. The Coffeehouse opened with Rob Mee (CEO of Mechanical Orchard, founder of Pivotal Labs) showing how he's using Dark Factories to convert the COBOL systems that still run the world's critical infrastructure into modern, maintainable code. Lauren Menon and Tiffany L. demoed the voice and SMS agent Ode built to handle 90% of auto dealership service desk calls (for under $0.12 a call). Then Joshua Marker moderated a panel with Raza Habib (Member of Technical Staff, Anthropic), Eddie Siegel (Ode CTO and co-founder) and Rob around the question, "What will software engineering look like in 2 years?". Coffeehouse is for practitioners - engineer-to-engineer with no (minimal) pitches. We're excited to continue growing this series, and if you were on the waitlist for this session, you will be prioritized for our next event.

Good piece in The Wall Street Journal for folks who want to better understand how established companies are adopting AI. My favorite tidbit from the article: Chamberlain Group is using AI to create a digital doorman, a new product line they expect to generate $500 million in annual revenue by 2030. AI is already creating so much value in the economy. Thanks Mark Maurer for shining a light on it. https://lnkd.in/gZ2pcsvU

A closer look at our work across Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman portfolio companies, in Mark Maurer's recent WSJ feature. Our engineers embed directly with client teams: sitting in their offices, learning their systems, and building new product lines alongside them. Today, Ode with Anthropic acquired Casper Studios. Ode goes deep. We build production-grade applications for the AI priorities at the very top of a client’s list — the complex, custom work that remains core to our business. Casper Studios goes broad. Alongside a client’s most ambitious AI initiatives sit thousands of other high-impact opportunities, and that is where Casper thrives, in building the skills, connectors, and context within Anthropic products that drive AI impact across an organization. Enterprises need both. Now they can get both from one team. Welcome, Casper Studios. Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gxKY72fV

If your engineering team is about to get broken up, I'll take the whole thing. We hire teams of 2 to 5 engineers together. One interview day, same panel, same bar we hold every engineer here to. One offer, made to everyone at once. We did this with Fabius, a YC company that spent three years building AI for sales workflows. They came in as a team. One of their founders said the surprising part was how much autonomy we expected them to keep. We already run in small pods, one team per project, so a group that's already figured out how to work together is worth more to us than the same five people hired separately over six months. If your startup is pivoting, or your team got caught in a RIF, or you just want to keep building with the same people, apply together. SF, New York, and Research Triangle on-site. Link in the comments.

Transforming healthcare operations requires bringing frontier AI into the daily workflows where care actually happens. We are excited to share our strategic partnership with Ode with Anthropic to accelerate AI-enabled workflows across the healthcare ecosystem. By integrating advanced AI models directly into the PointClickCare platform, we are targeting high-friction administrative processes to build high-precision, automated systems that reduce burden for care teams.
