One URL. Every approved agent plugin your data scientists are allowed to install. Posit Package Manager now serves agent plugins the same way it serves R and Python packages: from a repository your admins curate. Generally available in the September 2026 release. What one governed marketplace gets you: - Public and private sources in one repo. Mirror posit-dev/skills next to the plugin that encodes your internal validation workflow, served from a single marketplace.git endpoint. - Install from the tools teams already use. Posit Assistant, Claude Code, VS Code, Codex, Cursor. Anything that pulls from Git. - A detail page per plugin listing its skills, hooks, sub-agents, and MCP servers, with custom metadata for reviewer, risk score, and approval date. - Dated snapshots. Point teams at a frozen URL and upstream changes wait until you adopt them. - Authenticated access and air-gapped serving, same as packages. Setup is four rspm commands. Jeremy Allen walks through it, plus the plugin exploits already on record, in the full post: https://lnkd.in/ehCaP7XK #PositPackageManager #AIGovernance #DataScience #AIAgents #OpenSource

    • Social graphic for Posit Package Manager. Dark navy top half with the Package Manager by Posit logo and the heading “One governed marketplace” in orange monospace type, followed by the headline “Public and private agent plugins, served from one URL.” Orange bottom half shows a diagram: several dotted lines in white, light orange, and black curve in from the left and converge on a white pill-shaped badge reading “Package Manager by Posit.” From the badge, white lines branch out to the right to six agent plugin icons, each a white rounded square containing a blue square, teal circle, green quarter-circle, and magenta diamond. The diagram illustrates multiple public and private plugin sources flowing into Package Manager and being served out as one marketplace.
  • Tonight’s World Series opener between the Brewers and Rays will produce a lot more than a box score. To capture data on the games, cameras will track every pitch, every swing, every player on the field, and even the umpires. Brian Chase, VP of Baseball Systems at the Miami Marlins and loanDepot park, explains how that works at their stadium: 12 Hawk-Eye cameras, data arriving in real time, and APIs that turn it into something his team can analyze. We're excited to see Game 1, and for another reminder that data science shows up just about everywhere, including on the field. ⚾️ #datascience

  • Run R and Python inside Snowflake without your data ever leaving ❄️ 👀 Posit’s native Snowflake app runs RStudio, VS Code or Jupyter for building, Connect for publishing, and Package Manager for governed packages, all inside your Snowflake account. Banks and Insurers use it for risk models, pricing, fraud detection, and claims analytics. Beneva put 100 actuaries and analysts on it, and each one publishes their own tools 😎 Check out the infographic: https://lnkd.in/gErHJqYY

  • Thank you to Matthew Fidler and Janice Goh for giving us the opportunity to share your work on the Posit blog.❤️ Using data on 59 preterm infants, they built a population PK model in R with nlmixr2 and compared flat and weight-based phenobarbital dosing. The dataset comes with nlmixr2, and the full analysis takes about 40 lines of code. Worth a read and a watch on our YouTube channel! #rstats #nlmixr2

Janice Goh and I have a new post on the Posit blog: "Tiny Doses for Tiny Babies -- How much is too much?" A preterm infant weighing 900 g is having seizures. Would a flat phenobarbital dose chosen for the average 1.5 kg baby be right for them? The post is a hands-on introduction to pharmacometrics for R users. Using the classic Grasela & Donn neonatal data (59 infants, only 155 concentrations), we: - Write and fit a population PK model in nlmixr2 - Show that body weight explains more than half of the between-infant variability in clearance - Simulate both regimens with rxode2. Under the flat dose, median week-2 concentrations fall from 39.4 mg/L at 0.7 kg to 12.3 mg/L at 3.1 kg, while weight-based dosing keeps about 94–100% of infants in the 15–40 mg/L target range - Tour the wider open-source ecosystem: babelmixr2, nonmem2rx, monolix2rx, PKNCA, PopED, tidyvpc, ggPMX and more If you have fit a mixed model, you have already done half of this. All the code is in the post. (This is a teaching example, not dosing guidance.) 📝 Read the post: https://lnkd.in/gueq-se4 🎥 Watch the video walkthrough: https://lnkd.in/gXKmRxyW Thanks to Posit PBC for hosting! Also thanks to the support from Philip Bowsher, Tyler Figueroa (Minear), Stacey Tannenbaum for Anne Keunecke for their invaluable support of this post. #pharmacometrics #RStats #nlmixr2 #OpenSource #ClinicalPharmacology #Pediatrics #DataScience

  • That's a wrap on Snowflake World Tour New York. Thank you to everyone who stopped by! 🚀 The conversations were the best part. Team after team told us they want to move fast on AI without giving up reproducibility or control. Posit and Snowflake work together to give you both. You can run AI-assisted analysis inside Snowflake, and your data stays under the Snowflake governance you already have. Want to see how it works? • More than half of GenAI pilots never make it past proof of concept. Most stall because the team built the workflow without governance in mind, and data quality, risk controls, and cost become problems as soon as the pilot tries to scale. Posit and Amazon Web Services (AWS) laid out what a governed AI workflow looks like. Your data scientists keep working in R and Python with the open-source tools they already use, and they get AI-assisted development inside managed environments. They call foundation models through Amazon Bedrock, limited to the models your organization has approved. ➡ Take a look at what governed, scalable AI looks like in practice: https://lnkd.in/e3WhuxaV #AIgovernance #DataScience #EnterpriseAI #AWS #Posit

  • The Posit Team Native App for Snowflake installs Posit Workbench Advanced in your Snowflake account, so R and Python run against data that stays inside the Snowflake boundary. 🏒 At the National Hockey League (NHL), Jamie Shive’s three-person data science team models attendance and fan spending across 32 clubs. They used to download CSVs, run R on a virtual machine, and load results into a BI tool. By the time anyone saw the results, the data was out of date. Now they work in one governed workspace. This year a hockey fan fiction series drew new fans into the NHL’s data, and the team watched the spike as it happened. “Everything was off the charts,” Shive says. ➡ Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/eVqrpWfZ 🌟 Try the Posit Team Native App free for 30 days on Snowflake Marketplace. https://lnkd.in/efXPJaTt #SnowflakeNativeApps #SnowflakeMarketplace #DataScience Snowflake Partner Network

  • Regeneron’s analysts can go from enterprise data to a secure, published application in one workflow. Then, they track who uses it and what to build next. On November 4, Dilip Raghunathan, Sriram Krishnamurthy, and Anand G. from Regeneron will walk through the hybrid analytical ecosystem they’ve built with Posit and share what they’ve learned so far. What they’ll cover: → Accessing enterprise data, writing code, collaborating in GitHub, and working with AI in one development environment → Publishing interactive apps that stay secure and are refreshed for stakeholders → Using usage analytics and AI token telemetry to decide what to build next → The architectural and organizational principles behind their strategy Join us for The Analytical Platform Era is Dead. Long Live Decision Platforms. 📆 Wednesday, Nov 4 | 12 PM ET | Live on Zoom ➡️ Link to register is in the first comment! #Pharma #DataScience
