  • In depth case study of Clay's paid ads strategy - targeting, creatives, funnels, hooks. All broken down. Must read for any B2B markter 👇

Few companies have a reputation for conquering PLG like Clay does. Maybe Figma & Notion. But they're up there in that league. Despite this, their ads are laser focused on a sales led motion. This means one of two things: 1- The product is now just feeding itself. Organic funnels, referrals, word of mouth etc is sufficiently feeding the product led motion. Any extra juice is better spent elsewhere. Or: 2- The company is maturing and pivoting out of PLG. The self serve startup and soloprenuer segment is tapped out, and enterprises don't self serve to business critical sales enablement software (remember even HubSpot was the hip PLG alternative at one point). Despite this, their creative strategy is still very PLG-looking. It looks fun, approachable, young, hip. Using hooks like "Your ads match rate is lower than your Hinge match rate." Definitely not like how you imagine ads for enterprise sales software. I did a deep dive into their paid ads strategy, funnels, creative factory- link in the comments.

  • How a $12,000 ad set up mistake led to the founding of Sprites What's interesting is that these mistakes happen at every level - even at 8 figure marketing budgets !

The $12,000 mistake that led to the founding of Sprites Before Sprites, I was a gaming founder. Intrinsically rewarding, but brutal space. The big players' way of operating is more like a CAC/LTV arbitrage finder hedge fund on ad networks rather than anything creatively fulfilling At our earliest user acquisition / go-to-market hurdle, a small set up mistake cost us $12k. As a small gaming startup, this is DEVASTATING. And mistakes like this compound at every level. I wanted this to never happen to another entrepreneur - where you've built something amazing and unique, and just can't compete because of how complicated user acquisition gets I made it my mission to build AI agents that make entrepreneurship easier for builders As I spoke with more people about this, it turned out my experience wasn't unique And Sprites was born 😊

  • Today we're launching Sprites Ad Library. We indexed every ad from the fastest-growing companies in tech like Cursor, Lovable, Linear, Notion and more, across Meta, Google and LinkedIn. For every company you can see: → the hooks they open with → the funnels they send traffic to → the CTAs they repeat → who they're targeting → estimated monthly spend Track any company and get notified when they launch new ads or kill their losers. It's free. Link in the comments.

  • We're scaling outbound at Sprites AI and hiring our next BDR. The outbound motion works. And now we need more reps in the seat. That's where you come in. We're looking for someone early in their sales career who wants to plug into a real outbound engine: defined ICPs, tested openers, and founders who'll work with you directly. Full-time contractor. Fully remote. Clear path to senior BDR or AE as we grow. B2B SaaS experience is a plus. Energy on the phone and coachability are not optional. DM us a 60-second voice memo of you pitching anything. Fastest way to the top of the pile. #hiring #bdr #sdr #saas #ycombinator

  • LLM traffic converts 9x better than tradition search. This is simply a new channel.

LLM traffic converts 9𝐱 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 than Google SEO. Same product. Same page. Different buyer. Here's why. When someone Googles something, they're still in exploration mode. Comparing options. Reading reviews. Figuring out what they want. When someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation and clicks through, the research is done. The comparison happened inside the chat. The model already synthesized, vetted, and recommended. They arrive pre-sold. That's intent compression. And it's changing the economics of digital discovery. The numbers: ChatGPT referrals convert at 15.9%. Google organic converts at 1.76%. Perplexity sits at 10.5%. Google still dominates volume. 14 billion queries a day versus ChatGPT's 37.5 million. Google sends 190x more web traffic. That's not going away. Google pays Apple $20B a year just to stay the default on every iPhone. But volume and quality are decoupling. Users are increasingly doing both. Google for navigation. ChatGPT for synthesis and recommendations. Total digital interactions are going up, not cannibalizing each other. Which means AI visibility is becoming a second discovery layer every serious business needs to figure out. Not instead of SEO. On top of it. The good news: what works for AI visibility is the same thing that's always worked. Build genuine authority. Get cited by sources LLMs train on. Publish things worth referencing. The conversion numbers make this impossible to ignore. TLDR: AI SEO is a new channel with widely different conversion rates (9x higher than traditional search). Get on top of it, or get left behind.

PSA: please stop buying Mac Minis to automate everything with OpenClaw 🛑 (Yes, this actually happened. Yes, it was for day trading. Yes, it didn't work out.) I wrote about the OpenClaw hype last week. That post got some traction so I went on camera to actually break it down. The technology is real. The use cases are real. What's not real is the idea that pointing an agent at a broken UI is easier than just building the thing properly. Claude Code exists. Cursor exists. You can vibe-code a custom automation in an afternoon that's more reliable than any computer use agent clicking through a brittle interface. If you have a workflow worth automating, you probably have a workflow worth writing 50 lines of code for. Computer use makes sense for the stuff that's truly unstructured. Everything else is a workaround dressed up as a product.

  • Interesting discussion on computer use agents like OpenClaw, Claude Cowork, Perplexity Computer and the hype around them 👀

Fascinated by OpenClaw and the hype around it. My non-technical friend bought a Mac Mini specifically to run it for day trading. A Mac Mini. For day trading. With a computer use agent. Computer use agents are having their mainstream moment. Claude Cowork, Perplexity Computer, et al. The capability is basically commoditized now. Point an agent at a screen, let it click around. Cool demo. But who is OpenClaw actually for? The pitch is: if there's no API, the agent just uses the UI like a human would. Which sounds magical until you realize the reason most things don't have APIs is because they're slow, brittle, and built on interfaces that break every other update. Your agent is now as fragile as the thing it's automating. If you're technical, you're already building this. If you're not technical, you're about to get sold a solution by a middleman agency. Yesterday it was n8n that was going to get you to PMF. Now it's OpenClaw. Same consultants shilling. Different landing page. The pattern is always the same: genuinely interesting capability, real use cases at the edges, massive overpromising in the middle, and a cottage industry of agencies charging startups to implement community template demoes. Computer use is the next meaningful capability unlock after code gen; automating the long tail of things that will never get a proper API. That's real. But I'd hold off on the Mac Mini making you a billionaire. Interesting to see how this one plays out.

  • Checking accounts for issues 24/7. Not that anyone asked.

Most Meta accounts are losing budget in the same 3 places. Not because of bad creatives. Not because of wrong audiences. Because of structural issues that most people never check. Sign #1: Your audiences are overlapping You have multiple ad sets targeting similar people. They're bidding against each other. Your CPM goes up. Your results go down. Sign #2: All placements are switched on Audience Network, Messenger, Reels, Feed. All checked by default. Some of those placements cost real money and convert almost nothing. Sign #3: Your frequency is above 4 Same person. Same ad. 5+ times. They've stopped seeing it. You're still paying for it. None of these require a bigger budget to fix. They require 20 minutes or the right tool like Sprites AI to check and fix it in minutes. Comment CHECKLIST and we'll send you the Meta Budget Leak Checklist. 8 things to check in your account right now.
