Political Organizations

We’re empowering volunteers and donors across the country to help win critical elections.

About us

Swing Left is a national grassroots organization working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. We make it possible for anyone to make a real impact on the elections that determine the balance of power in our country, by volunteering and donating in key races. Since launching in 2017, Swing Left volunteers have raised more than $40 million for more than 300 candidates and civic organizations and made more than 40 million combined phone calls, door knocks, and letters sent to voters via its affiliate Vote Forward and their partners. Democrats have a trust problem. Fixing it starts with listening. Fast Company's Issie Lapowsky joined Ground Truth volunteers to see how we’re putting that into practice – and how it’s changing how campaigns engage voters. We’re finding persuadable voters that traditional canvassing misses, and campaigns across the country are using those insights to expand their outreach. This is how we rebuild trust—and win elections. Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/ekiVVzTQ

  • These are the races where Democratic candidates need dollars most and where your dollar can go the furthest. Let’s talk about this week’s Immediate Impact Fund! This week's fund includes Manny Rutinel, Mary Peltola, and Katie Hobbs. We’ll update the fund each week until Election Day. Follow Swing Left for updates on this fund every Wednesday, and visit swingleft.org/iif to donate to the 12 places where money is needed most, based on our conversations with campaigns.

  • Last weekend, volunteers canvassed with Ground Truth in Michigan’s 4th Congressional District to help elect Democratic House candidate Sean McCann. Every week, thousands of volunteers go door to door to have meaningful conversations with voters—this is how we win this Must-Flip seat and win the House this fall. Join us for the largest Weekend of Action yet on October 17th and 18th: knock on a few doors, write letters to voters, call in to a Ground Truth phone bank. Visit https://lnkd.in/eyGTddjg to browse all the ways you can help defeat Republicans in the midterm elections, from phone banking and canvassing to writing letters to voters with Vote Forward.

  • Chris Pappas is on the path to making history. Again. 🚨 👋 MEET CHRIS PAPPAS ✅ Before Congress, Chris Pappas ran his family’s 109-year-old restaurant in Manchester. When he saw a system that wasn’t working for everyday people, he got involved in politics. ✅ Chris Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District since 2019, holding one of the most competitive Congressional seats in the country. He is the first openly gay person elected to Congress from the state and, if elected in November, he’d be the first openly gay man to serve in the U.S. Senate. ✅ His priorities have included fighting to expand Medicaid, working to cap the price of insulin, investing in renewable energy, reforming ICE, and protecting funding for Planned Parenthood. ℹ️ WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ✅ Chris Pappas is facing John E. Sununu, who Trump endorsed as an “America-First Patriot” back in March. ✅ Cook Political Report shifted the race from Lean Democratic to Toss-Up in September, citing a nearly 2-to-1 Republican spending advantage. ✅ In the most recent polls from YouGov, Pappas leads Sununu by 8 points. WE NEED NEW HAMPSHIRE. Democrats need a net gain of four seats to win back the Senate. The path to a majority runs through the Granite State. Let's elect Chris Pappas to the U.S. Senate this fall: Visit swingleft.org/senate to donate to the Senate Fund. Swing Left has identified the closest races that will decide Senate control in 2026, and this fund lets you give to the Democrats fighting for the seats that matter most.

  • If you're worried or a little disillusioned about the midterms, Piper Perabo gets it. This Saturday, thousands of Americans are attending a No Kings event, but your participation doesn't have to stop there. If you're in NYC, LA, or DC, you can hop on a bus to a nearby swing district to talk to voters with Swing Left and Stand Up America, or start wherever makes sense to you: canvassing, phone banking, or letter writing.
