  • I’m deeply grateful to New American Leaders for the opportunity to be part of such an incredible cohort of women who are stepping into leadership across this country. It is truly an honor to now be an alumna of this powerful program. As an immigrant, a justice-impacted woman, and someone who has lived many of the challenges our communities face, I understand how systems can impact women, families, and young people in profound ways. That lived experience is not a weakness it is my compass. I am committed to using this training as a foundation to continue building power in our communities and to serve Washington Heights with integrity, compassion, and accountability. My focus will always be on supporting women, families, and youth impacted by the system, and making sure that the voices of our community are present in the rooms where decisions are made. Thank you to everyone for your contued support. This moment belongs to all of us. This is only the beginning.

  • Happy Holidays from the Social Justice Network 🎄✨ As we close out the year, the Social Justice Network extends our deepest gratitude to our community, partners, advocates, and supporters who continue to stand with us in the pursuit of justice, equity, and opportunity for all. This year has been filled with powerful collaboration, courageous conversations, and meaningful impact especially alongside justice-impacted individuals, families, educators, and organizers who remind us daily what resilience and hope look like in action. Together, we are reimagining systems, amplifying lived experience, and building pathways toward dignity, healing, and transformation. As you gather with loved ones or take time for reflection, we wish you a holiday season filled with peace, warmth, and renewed purpose. May the coming year bring continued solidarity, bold action, and collective progress toward a more just world. In gratitude and solidarity, The Social Justice Network

Every story has the power to change a life — and we’re writing one together. Comic Books for Justice (CB4J.org) has launched the Turning the Page on Illiteracy Campaign with a bold mission: to place 10,000 comic books inside correctional facilities across New York State. Over 70% of incarcerated individuals read at or below a 4th-grade level, but comics meet readers where they are — blending literacy, imagination, and dignity. Through partnerships with the @SUNY Office of Higher Education in Prison and Hudson Link for Higher Education, we’re expanding access to books, creativity, and hope — from correctional facilities to underserved communities through our Family & Friends Community Initiative.  Every dollar counts. Whether you give $10 or $100, your support helps deliver educational comics, literacy workshops, and creative tools that open minds and build futures.  Become one of our 100 Super-Friends. Your pledge fuels this movement and helps thousands begin a new chapter.  Join the Movement & Donate Today: https://lnkd.in/e7ce8Bb7 Together, we can turn the page on illiteracy and write a new story of justice, creativity, and possibility. You can define the layout of your email and give your content a place to live by adding, rearranging, and deleting content blocks.

  • May today bring you warmth, rest, gratitude, and gentle joy. May you feel held by community, loved by your people, and supported by those walking beside you. At the same time let’s not forget those who are not able to share this day with their love ones. We will not rest until we see the change that needs to be. From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving Day. With love, The Social Justice Network (SJN) www.sjnus.org • info@sjnus.org “Community is our superpower.”
