Your AI agent can write the email. But does it know who should receive it NOW? That’s the part of AI-powered prospecting that I think gets overlooked. An agent can research a company, find contacts, write personalized outreach, and send it all without much human involvement. But if the data is wrong or the context is missing, the agent can move very fast in the wrong direction. The buyer may have changed roles (12.25% of US sales leaders did in the past year.) The company may not fit your ICP. There may be a new signal that makes the timing right. Or you may be reaching the wrong person entirely. That’s why I like the idea of giving agents a context layer. So I’ve been testing Lusha inside Claude. It gives my agent two things: 1. The data: 515M+ verified contacts and 29M+ companies globally, enriched with 26 buying signals like funding, hiring surges, leadership changes and job changes. 2. The intelligence: it learns your ICP, your CRM and your closed-won deals, then ranks which accounts to work and who to reach. Instead of: ❌ “Find me 50 prospects.” You can ask: ✅ “Find companies like my best customers and tell me why they’re worth reaching out to now.” That’s a much more useful starting point for an agent. Would you trust an AI agent to prospect for you without giving it this kind of context? #LushaPartner #ad
The real risk is how fast these agents can go off-track if their context is off Ashley
Ashley, there are so many that do trust prospecting from AI without context because they have no other way and no more time or money to do anything different.
Automated outreach only works when the timing and targeting are right, so reliable data and clear buying signals matter more than how quickly an agent can generate messages. Ashley Gross
Do you pick which closed-won deals count as your best customers, or does Lusha? A big deal that churned and a small one that renewed would point the agent at very different companies.
Ashley Gross A contact can look perfect in the database and still be completely wrong for the conversation today.
Absolutely agree, Ashley! An agent is only as good as its underlying context layer. Without verified intent data and role-change signals, high-volume prospecting just burns domain reputation faster. Integrating Lusha into agentic workflows is a game changer!
Automated outreach is usually a mess without a solid data layer. I still prefer a quick human check before anything actually sends.
Getting the timing and the contact right matters as much as the message itself. More automation won’t help much alone. Ashley
The timing piece is especially important. Reaching the right person when nothing has changed can be less effective than reaching them when a genuine buying signal appears.
AI can send 500 personalised emails in minutes. But if the targeting is wrong, you've just scaled the wrong problem.
