I don't want to brag, but I have a lot of veryyy smart friends. DVMs. MDs. JDs. MBAs. I even have one friend with an MD and a JD. (He's crazy. We know.) School was hard for me. I was good at it, but I had to work for it. I ran out of University of California, Davis with my BS barely intact. It was a means to an end. All I wanted was to control my own destiny and earn my own paycheck. …which is probably why sales grabbed me so early. (I still remember my first commission check 🙌) But when you're surrounded by people whose careers took a decade of school to earn, the imposter syndrome creeps in. They had professions. I had a job. Then I spent 15+ years refining a skill, building a network, finding little wins and woke up one day realizing that sales IS a profession 🔥 Being good at it means respecting it like one. (My team is reading this and rolling their eyes because I say it constantly.) Which brings me to last week. I'm at Disneyland with the family, mid-negotiation with a five year old about why a strawberry popsicle is not a smoothie and does not count as breakfast at 8am. My phone starts lighting up like 🎁 Tyler Bernstein needing eyes on an EOQ deal. I've been named one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Sales by Women in Sales & The ABM Agency Devastated toddler in one hand. Phone in the other. (tbh I was not giving power vibes in this exact moment 😅) I'm so honored to be on this list, and grateful to have found a profession I genuinely love and a community I love working with. It motivates me, and it pays for a life I really love living. 🧡 PS - the DuChene parents caved around 930am and bought their toddler a “popsicle smoothie”
popsicle smoothie sounds fab. I've learned to choose my battles with my little fella. Having met you a few times now and had a few conversations - you are the real deal! Excited to spend more time with you. Congratulations to you
I love seeing EVERY ONE of these posts!!!!!! The world needs more women in sales period!!!
Congratulations ⭐️⭐️ Your story is truly inspiring! You are leading the way and showing us how it's done ❤️🎉🍷 ! So glad to share the list with you 💅👑
Not surprised to see you on this list. I’m honored as well to appear with so many great women in GTM. You are doing great things and a role model for our profession.
More well deserved recognition 😊 and if the popsicle has the word “smoothie” in front of it, it’s a breakfast food.
LFG Patty!!
Congrats Patricia DuChene. Well deserved.
You encompass everything this award is about: creating your own destiny in the profession, but also giving back BIG time. You've gotten your employer to sponsor so many women-led and women-focused events, so that others can rise alongside you. Big congrats to you! 🙌
Congrats. So well deserved!
I love you and love being on the list with you, buuuuuuttttt I’m with the toddler that a strawberry popsicle is indeed a smoothie (just more frozen.)
