This prestigious national honor recognizes outstanding performance by a career EMS service and celebrates meaningful contributions to the EMS profession and the patients and communities it serves. Recipients demonstrate excellence in clinical care and patient outcomes, along with innovation through creative protocols, new care delivery models, mobile integrated healthcare, community paramedicine, workforce development, research and quality improvement. Prisma Health exemplifies these qualities through its leadership in patient care, innovation, and community health across South Carolina. From launching the state’s first prehospital blood administration program to providing specialized pediatric and neonatal transport, its team continues to advance emergency medical care and improve patient outcomes. With 35 ambulances and more than 52,000 transports completed annually, Prisma Health’s impact is both far-reaching and inspiring.
