Amca Wins US Army Contract for Enterprise Partnership

For the past two years, we’ve been working hard to build the muscle to fix any supply chain problem with engineering. Excited to see it come to fruition, as we partner with the @US Army to re-engineer components and subsystems for a priority missile system.    We’re grateful for the Army’s trust and commitment to pioneering a new model for solving readiness constraints, and we’re excited to get to work.

U.S. Army Partners with Amca to Accelerate Defence Manufacturing The U.S. Army has awarded Amca a firm fixed price contract to establish an enterprise wide partnership focused on the rapid engineering, qualification and production of critical components for an Army priority missile system. The award is the first Active Capability Gap contract under the Army’s Advanced Manufacturing Commercial Solutions Opening. Initial work will focus on radar and power assemblies, addressing long lead times, incomplete engineering data and reduced manufacturing capacity. Thousands of critical components need to be re-engineered to solve America's critical supply constraints and increase the nation's readiness. We opened a dedicated factory in March to do this and deliver faster than anyone else across hydraulics, pneumatics, power electronics, avionics, and more.   When a customer needed a new pressure switch re-designed on an urgent timeline, our engineer Kurt Freeman took on the challenge. He developed, built and tested it in under a month.
