Since 2004, Charles Schwab Foundation has helped more than 1.2 million Boys & Girls Clubs of America youth gain critical money management skills through Money Matters: Make it Count(SM), a financial education program delivered through Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In recent years, Charles Schwab volunteers have led a Reality Store event that simulates everyday spending decisions and helps teens understand how their career and money choices can have a significant impact on their future. With National Investing Day on the horizon, we’re highlighting how Schwabbies like James H. embody that mission. After a work-sponsored volunteer event to assemble duffle bags for kids in the foster care system, James H. stayed late to double check that every bag was packed with exactly what was needed. He knew from personal experience (being in foster care from age four to eight) how important these bags were and how important it was that nothing was missing from them. James shared how foster kids don’t have a lot, and they notice when someone gets something they don’t. #InvestingDay
