Data Protection Commission Ireland’s Post

The DPC was delighted to visit San Francisco last week for a number of highly productive discussions and meetings. Commissioners Des Hogan and Dale Sunderland, along with Deputy Commissioner Graham Doyle, highlighted the DPC’s supervision of AI products and services, in the context of our recently published AI Insights report (link in the comments). The engagements also had a particular focus on the emerging challenges in data protection and AI. As part of the visit, the DPC met with the California Privacy Protection Agency, visited the Consulate General of Ireland, San Francisco, and met with our colleagues at the EU Office in San Francisco.
