Ten years ago, a former NASA Langley engineer founded Psionic with a licensed piece of research and a clear problem: how to keep a vehicle or spacecraft oriented when GPS disappears. Years of shrinking the sensor’s size and weight, then taking the same technology into two markets, led to its selection as the primary velocity and range sensor on multiple upcoming lunar missions.
