The Brussels Office for Irish Funds is responsible for engaging with all of the EU policy officials across the institutions and in member state capitals. We're the front end advocates for the association. So what we're doing is - we're engaging with EU policymakers and EU politicians on the most important policy issues for our member firms. The way we do this is we build long-term trusted relationships with all of these people to make sure that the voice of our members is heard in all of the key policy debates. So whether that's AIFMD or UCITS updates, the recent Market Integration and Supervision Package, money market fund rules or debates on macro prudential rules, we are there as a policy thought leader for Irish Funds and for our members. Since the publication of the Draghi and Letta reports in 2024, the EU has been hyper focused on competitiveness. What this has meant is that most of the legislative proposals that we've seen published by the European Commission have been all about alleviating the burden on EU businesses. With any legislative proposal, there are always going to be opportunities and challenges. But I think in the round, when you look at it, it's been very positive for our industry because we've been seen as a solution to the EU's economic growth and competitiveness problems. Now, I think the honeymoon period is probably going to be ending for us as we move into next year when policy officials and regulators return to a focus on business as usual. So what does that mean? Risk, looking at valuation, leverage, liquidity. And a great example of this is going to be the technical advice that was recently requested from the European Commission to the European Supervisory Authorities on private markets. I think it's always really critical for our members to get in touch with us to help support our advocacy with policymakers. So if you have any input, please reach out to us.
