A quick FREE guide to evaluating contractor safety beyond the numbers. A low incident rate doesn't always mean a jobsite is safe. Here's what to look at: → TRIR, DART & EMR: What does the contractor's past safety performance tell you? → Training & inspections: Are safety procedures being followed on the jobsite? → Near-miss reporting: Are potential hazards being identified before someone gets hurt? → Corrective actions: How quickly are safety issues being addressed? The takeaway? Don't just ask how safe a contractor has been, ask how they're managing risk today. We break down leading vs. lagging indicators in our latest guide, check it out at the comments. #ContractorSafety #ConstructionSafety #RiskManagement #SafetyMetrics

Preventing falls requires a strong safety culture built through: • leadership commitment • continuous training • regular safety audits • proactive use of technology • clear communication • employee engagement Real safety doesn’t come from checking boxes. It comes from creating environments where prevention is embedded into everyday operations and where workers feel empowered to speak up before risks become incidents. Your contractor passed prequalification but are they still meeting your safety standards? 👉 Contractor risk management shouldn't end once a vendor is approved. A contractor's safety performance, compliance status, and operational risks can change throughout a project; Yet many organizations rely on assessments completed months ago. The real challenge is all about maintaining visibility into third-party risk after onboarding. Three questions worth asking: 1️⃣ → Are contractor safety records still up to date? 2️⃣ → Are compliance gaps being identified before they escalate? 3️⃣ → Do we have enough visibility to make informed risk decisions? Because contractor prequalification is only the starting point of effective third-party risk management. So, how does your team track contractor risk after onboarding? #contractorriskmanagement #thirdpartyrisk #contractorsafety #riskmanagement #compliancemanagement

Quick stat worth sitting with: OSHA Safety Training Institute inspections fell 12.6% last year. Severe injury reports in construction? Still 1,639 in 11 months. Fewer inspections isn't the same as fewer problems, sometimes it's just fewer people looking. Worth keeping in mind for anyone relying on enforcement activity as a proxy for site safety.

57% of workplaces reported zero injuries last year. That sounds like progress and in many ways, it is. But here's what that number doesn't tell you: the remaining 43% of workplaces carried 100% of the 1.38 million injuries recorded nationwide. The safest organizations don't wait for incidents to reveal problems, instead, they build systems that detect and manage risk before OSHA data ever captures it.
