Most ops teams get pulled in at the end of planning season. "Hey, here's the headcount plan. Figure out where to put people." Don’t fall into this trap. RevOps should be leading the strategy conversation. Stephen Rickli, Head of GTM Strategy & Ops at Zip, does it differently. His team starts the conversation 6 months earlier: → If we clean-sheeted our sales org from scratch, what would it look like? → Are we attacking the right pockets of the market? → Have we segmented the business the right way? That's the conversation that shapes territories, quotas, and team design. Not the other way around. The best RevOps teams aren't reactive. They're in the room before the decisions get made. Apollo acquired Pocus today, and if you know anything about how we've grown, you know we don't do this lightly. Apollo has built almost everything from the ground up, intentionally and on our own terms. That's been a point of pride. So this acquisition isn't a pivot, it's an acceleration. The GTM landscape is shifting in real time, and bringing in technology like Pocus is how you stay at the front of that shift rather than reacting to it. What excites me most is what this means for our customers. More power, more capability, all within the platform they're already using every day. Full story → https://bit.ly/4bFcbfH

I’m excited to share that we’ve acquired Pocus Revenue teams today don’t have a signal problem. They have an action problem. There’s more data than ever. Intent. Product usage. Engagement. But it’s all fragmented and only the most sophisticated in GTM know what to do with it. Apollo has stayed focused on turning data into action and I know we’re right. Too many companies have signals in one place, prioritization in another and execution somewhere else. That gap is where revenue gets lost. Pocus turns buying signals into clear priorities, and Apollo brings data and execution. Together, we not only close the loop, but we continue to democratize access to world class GTM. Detect opportunity. Prioritize what matters. Execute in the same system. This is where GTM is going and I’m excited to welcome Alexa Grabell, Isaac Pohl-Zaretsky, and the Pocus team where we can build together!

“Outbound is dead” is the laziest take in sales. What’s actually dead: ❌ Bad targeting ❌ Spray-and-pray automation ❌ Treating SDRs like call-center capacity What still works: ✅ Tight ICPs ✅ Real account research ✅ Multi-touch, multi-threaded execution ✅ Operational discipline That’s how we rebuilt our prospecting motion and 5x’d pipeline — without hiring a massive SDR team or spamming the market. If you’re planning for 2026 and rethinking outbound + AI, the playbook is free 👇

Is your perfectly personalized and relevant email to an exec getting crickets? 🦗🦗🦗 You’re probably using your research wrong. Execs are the hardest group in an account to break into. Referencing a generic piece of research from their 10-K isn’t enough. Kyle Asay recommends instead using your AI-researched and personalized outbound with mid-level and below-the-line contacts first. Talk to people. Gather more intel. Now you have the details you need to make your POV unignorable to an exec. Catching up on season 4 of the pod? An event at a rage room feels fitting for the times, amiright? We thought we’d turn up the dial of our guests' rage by asking questions like "What will AI change most in sales?" Everyone’s favorite 😂 The vibe: Everyone's panicking about robots stealing their quota. The reality: AI is just handling the sh*t work nobody wanted to do anyway. If you want some practical examples and real guidance on how AI is ACTUALLY changing sales, check out a few of these helpful guides: 1/ AI use cases mapped 2/ How Pocus rebuilt cold outbound & 5x’d pipe gen 3/ placeholder for default guide

Hot off the press: Apollo acquired Pocus 🔮 The biggest inefficiency in modern GTM isn't effort, it's fragmentation. Revenue teams have been forced to stitch together a data layer, a signal layer, and an engagement layer across separate tools, separate logins, and separate contexts. The handoff between them is where deals get lost and rep time gets wasted. Apollo is the data and engagement layer, Pocus built the best signal layer in the market. Together, they eliminate the translation work that slows every revenue team down. The direction for the GTM stack is clear: fewer tools, tighter integration, and one system driving the full motion from signal to close. Excited for this news for Apollo & Pocus! Full press release in the comments.

A few weeks ago we hosted 20 GTM leaders to smash their GTM frustrations at a rage room in NYC. In between smashing plates, we also asked them what GTM tactics they wanted to smash. The answers were spicy 🌶️ → Cold calls (don’t know about this one Matin Y.…cold calling still works if you’re using signals 😉) → Generic “bumping this up” emails…we all know this lazy slop → Hidden pricing → Overcomplicated inbound workflows The theme? Tactics we’ve continued to run with past their prime It used to be the way things were done, but not anymore! The old playbook is burning. 🔥

Apollo acquired Pocus - and I think this says a lot about where we're headed. We're not standing still. As we continue to invest in the future of GTM, moves like this show exactly what that commitment looks like in practice. Pocus is one of the most exciting companies in the space, and the fact that we're bringing them into the Apollo family is something worth paying attention to. Two cool companies. One shared vision for what GTM looks like next. Full story → https://bit.ly/4bFcbfH

We’ve officially acquired Pocus, marking a major step toward building a world-class, end-to-end, AI-native GTM platform. By combining Apollo’s data and sales engagement with Pocus’s orchestration and intelligence, we’re laying the foundation for something powerful: data → intelligence → action, all in one system. As one of Pocus’s first enterprise customers at Miro, I saw firsthand how powerful the platform is. This isn't all about the technology, it’s about the people behind it. Beyond excited to partner with Alexa, Isaac, and the entire Pocus team as we build what’s next.

Operationalizing your ICP shouldn’t be the hardest part of outbound. So we fixed it. Introducing Automated ICP Signal Creation in Pocus. 1/ Define your ICP in plain English: Pocus turns it into a signal everywhere 2/ Update once: It syncs instantly across Lists, SmartMap, scoring, and more The result? Better ICP → better targeting → better outbound. Your reps will know exactly who to talk to, every time.
