An opportunity now exists for the position of Head of Enterprise in the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) of Cork County Council. The Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) of Cork County Council lead a strategic programme to strengthen entrepreneurship, accelerate small business growth, and foster an inclusive, resilient local economy across Cork’s towns and rural hinterlands. There are 31 Local Enterprise Offices (LEO) in Ireland, each available to facilitate access to enterprise services and to promote and support enterprise at a local level. The LEO is the First Stop Shop for anyone seeking information and support on starting or growing a business in Ireland. Each LEO is led by a Head of Enterprise. The Head of Enterprise is a senior role within the Economic Development and Strategic Planning Directorate of Cork County Council. The Head of Enterprise will lead a team charged with delivering a high standard quality system of coordinated and cohesive State support to the micro and small business sector. This is a key position within the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) structure of the Local Authority. The successful candidate will be required to make a significant contribution to the development and implementation of a strategic plan to support enterprise, entrepreneurship and job creation at a local level. Success will be measured by ensuring that the LEO serves as a First Stop Shop to provide services to start, grow and develop micro and small business throughout the County.
