Our data (and our CEO) say you still need to pick up the phone!
Look, I know it’s 2026 and nobody wants to talk on the phone anymore. I barely do. But the data we just published is hard to argue with. We looked at over 300 million cadence emails sent on Salesloft this year, and sellers who made a call for every email they sent booked 4.4x as many meetings as sellers who only sent an email. There’s been a lot of conversation about whether cold calling is dead. This data suggests the question was never really about calling versus email, it's about whether you’re willing to do both. If your team is looking for a lever to pull on pipeline this quarter, this is a pretty clear one. Full analysis here: https://lnkd.in/gwJVnXf3
The phone keeps winning because it is the one channel where the conversation pushes back in real time. Email lets a prospect disengage silently; a call forces the actual objection into the open. Teams that treat calls as a core motion rather than a last resort tend to learn faster what the market really thinks.
