Southern California Edison (SCE)’s Post

Power has been shut off to 48,798 customers in Kern, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties due to dangerous fire weather conditions. We know being without power is difficult. Shutting off power during dangerous fire weather reduces the risk of utility equipment starting a wildfire. We have crews and staff members working continuously to restore power once the fire weather diminishes. Make sure to sign up for alerts from SCE to stay informed. https://on.sce.com/4B92Ngd

  • A notification message from Southern California Edison about Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) due to high winds and dry conditions. It includes facts about power outages affecting customers in Kern, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Tulare counties as of 9:20 a.m., with an additional 33,126 customers possibly affected. It advises staying away from downed power lines and calling 911 immediately.

You are 100% responsible for any fire started by your equipment. Instead of addressing your failures you burden your customers. Hopefully California will head toward change and accountability and replace you with competence
