Let VS Code Handle Your Pull Request for You? See how the Agents window creates a PR with an automatically drafted title and description, then lets you review checks and track progress in one place. Agent Merge can monitor reviews and CI, resolve conflicts, keep your branch in sync, and merge automatically—with fine-grained control over when it acts. 👉🏽 https://lnkd.in/dArwGPVV #vscode #pullrequests #vscodetips
I would want the review decision tied to the exact commit that was checked. If Agent Merge resolves a conflict or updates the branch afterwards, show what changed and run the required checks again before merging. That makes the automation easier to trust without making the reviewer reconstruct which version they approved.
Agent Merge resolving conflicts and keeping the branch in sync is the part I'd actually want, since that's where my PR time disappears on busy repos. The fine-grained control matters too: I'd let it draft titles and rebase, but I'd want a hard gate before it auto-merges anything touching payments code. Can you scope auto-merge by path or by required reviewer?
