  • Most people don't need more AI tools - They need better prompts: ChatGPT isn't magic, It's a skill. And most people are still using it like a search bar. Here's how to get better results fast: 1. Give it a job ↳Say what role it should play and what you need ↳Ex:"Be a B2B copywriter, write 3 webinar subject lines" 2. Add the goal ↳Say what success looks like, more clicks, clearer writing, faster research ↳Ex:"Make this simple for a busy founder to read fast" 3. Share the audience ↳Good answers depend on who it's for ↳Ex:"Write this for first-time managers at small companies" 4. Give it the raw material ↳Feed it notes, drafts, transcripts, examples, or messy thoughts ↳Ex:"Turn these 6 bullet points into a LinkedIn post" 5. Set the format ↳Ask for the exact shape you want, list, table, email, script, outline ↳Ex:"Turn this into a 5-part outline with short headers" 6. Use constraints ↳Limits improve the output, tone, length, reading level, style ↳Ex:"Keep it under 150 words, simple, direct, no jargon" 7. Ask for options ↳Don't stop at one answer, get versions to compare ↳Ex:"Give me 5 hooks, bold, simple, and curiosity-driven" 8. Make it critique itself ↳Ask it to review the draft and fix weak spots ↳Ex:"What feels vague here, make it clearer and more specific" 9. Fix one thing at a time ↳Change one part at a time, not everything at once ↳Ex:"Keep the message, just make the opening stronger" 10. Show it what good looks like ↳Examples help it match the tone or format you want ↳Ex:"Use this as a style guide, keep the ideas original" 11. Ask better follow-ups ↳The best results usually come in round 2 or 3 ↳Ex:"Make this more practical, add one real example" 12. Use it for thinking, not just writing ↳Use it to plan, sort ideas, find gaps, and test decisions ↳Ex:"Turn this voice note into 3 clear next steps" 13. Build your own repeatable prompts ↳Save what works, the real win is having a reusable system ↳Ex:"Make a prompt template I can use each week" The gap isn't access. It's how you use the tool. • I spent 18 months breaking ChatGPT 100 different ways. Vague prompts. Bad tone. Zero traction. But after all that trial and error, I found a formula. Here are 7 ChatGPT hacks that unlocked real leverage & saved me hundreds of hours. I won't waste your time: 1. Use it like a strategist, not a search engine. Stop asking it for facts. Ask it for angles, systems, frameworks. You want leverage, not just answers. Instead of “what are good business ideas?” Try: “What are 7 business ideas people are quietly discussing in subreddits that are likely to explode in 3 years?” Huge difference. 2. Feed it (A LOT OF) real context, not vague prompts. “Make this shorter” is weak. “Make this understandable to a 5th grader” is strong. Upload reference docs, paste examples, show what you actually want. It’s not magic. It’s math + context. 3. Build workflows, not one-off prompts. You don’t want a one-time email. You want a system that writes great emails every time. Build a custom GPT and feed it your best outputs & ask it what makes them great. Now you’ve got an engine, not just a button. 4. Layer prompts like a builder, not a browser. Don’t expect gold from your first input. Ask. Refine. Reword. Reframe. Push. Test. It's clay, not a vending machine. Massage it! 5. Use it to A/B test content Got 8 possible headline titles? Ask it to write them and post 4 at a time on IG as a poll. Winner advances. Run a bracket. By the end, you’re not guessing what people click, you know. 6. Reverse-engineer your favorite writers. Paste in writing you love and ask: “What makes this writing great?” Then say: “Write like this from now on.” You just hired your favorite author… for free. 7. Ask it to optimize your own life. Upload your bank statement and say: “Where am I wasting money? What can I cancel? What can I replace with a cheaper service?” Give it receipts, transcripts, screenshots and let it point out what you’re blind to. The people who get the most out of ChatGPT aren’t the smartest. They’re just the most specific. Garbage in, garbage out. Context in, leverage out. Be strategic. Get weird. Iterate forever. You’ll be 10x faster than everyone else. • 5 ways I use ChatGPT to actually make my copywriting better: 1. Gather snippets of copy from the brand's website, social media and other sources. Like captions, about us pages and more. Then I ask AI to analyze the voice and tone. And describe it in 5 words. Then I use the same 5 words to guide my copy if I'm going off-brand. 2. Upload reviews and testimonials in a CSV file and ask GPT to analyze them. Then I ask it to pull out the common sentiment, emotional triggers, most pressing problems, stand-out benefits and how people have worded their experience. This helps me discover emotive language for headlines. 3. If I'm writing for the same brand, I give chat 1-3 previous examples to take inspiration from. This works well for email campaigns. Always put in this instruction at the end: Don't copy word for word and just take inspiration from the email in terms of style, format and length. 4. I love playing the constraints game with ChatGPT. I never ask it to just write copy. I focus on: Word count/length A framework (like PAS) Themes (lead with emotion vs lead with benefit/USP) My creativity thrives when I give it constraints because I can see how the same thing can be communicated in different ways. 5. Use it as a first draft generator I never let it write the final copy but I do let it help me beat writer’s block. If I’m stuck on a hook, I’ll give it a clear prompt with the target audience, product benefits, theme and tone of voice. Then, I ask for 10 variations. Out of those 10, maybe one or two are solid. The rest? Either too generic or off-brand. But that’s the trick. ChatGPT isn’t here to replace my creativity. It’s here to spark it. It helps me go from 0→1 faster. And considering I write for multiple brands in the same day, the extra brainstorming power helps. How do you use it? • Do you want to post more on LinkedIn but feel short on writing time—and worry that using GenAI feels inauthentic? If you've struggled with feeling that using AI is cheating, you should know you *can* create authentic, value-filled posts with ChatGPT's assistance -- in less time. In my latest newsletter, I explore these five key takeaways: ✅ Use AI for ideation—not execution. Consider AI as a savvy intern rather than a highly skilled copywriter. Yes, use ChatGPT to generate ideas or structure your thoughts. But the final draft? That should come from YOU – not AI. ✨ A Harvard Business School study found that AI acts as a “cybernetic teammate,” allowing us to produce quality work faster. ChatGPT and Claude make great brainstorming buddies. ✅ Infuse your content with unique insights. Generic listicle AI posts often fail to establish thought leadership. When you can incorporate your personal experiences, case studies, or professional opinions, you provide insight into your expertise and personality.  ✨ Sharing specific anecdotes or perspectives differentiates your content and fosters deeper connections with your audience. Think about the last thought leader you “clicked” with and how much of their writing you read. Yup. You can have fans like that, too. ✅ Craft a hook that mirrors your voice. Using a generic hook that some tech-bro uses won’t help YOU if it doesn’t feel authentic – even if their post has over 1,000 likes. The best hooks draw your readers in, introduce your topic – and sound like you. If you’re stuck., ChatGPT or Claude can give you different hook variations in seconds.  ✨ Don’t ignore your hook or outsource it to a robot. The best hooks draw you in with a statistic, personal story, or lesson learned. ✅ Address the needs of a specific audience member. You’re not writing for all one billion of LinkedIn’s members. Instead, think of writing to an audience of one – like you’re writing an email, but longer. :) ChatGPT or Claude can help you create a reader persona document if you don't have one.  ✨ Focusing on individual concerns demonstrates empathy and positions you as a problem-solver within your network. ✅ Make your content sound like you—even with AI assistance. Yes, ChatGPT can replicate your writing style. But it can’t replicate your snark, fantastic insight, or fun phrasing. I use AI for a rough draft pass and then rewrite the main points in my voice. That way, my content always sounds like me, and I give my readers exactly what they expect. ✨ Don’t take chances with your content’s tone and feel. Let ChatGPT help write the content, but make sure you edit it and make it sound like you. 💬 How have you integrated AI into your content creation process while maintaining authenticity? • 80% Marketer: Can ChatGPT actually help us grow? ChatGPT: Yes. But not the way most marketers use it 👇 ChatGPT isn’t magic. It’s a multiplier - If your marketing foundation is solid. Most teams use it like a content vending machine. They want headlines, posts, emails… fast. But here’s the truth: What you prompt it to do is only as good as what you’ve already built. Let’s break it down: - The best outputs come from the clearest inputs - You need positioning before prompting - Strategy before syntax - Context before copy Marketer: “But I need help writing content, fast!” ChatGPT: “Cool. But give me this first: Your audience, your offer, your goal, and your angle.” So if you really want ChatGPT to work for your marketing: - Use role-based prompts: “Act as a D2C strategist…” - Feed it context: ICP, stage of funnel, offer clarity - Don’t stop at ideas - use it for copy, repurposing, SEO, and email - Treat it like a collaborator, not just a tool Why you actually need to know how ChatGPT works for marketing: Cuts campaign planning time in half Brainstorms when your brain won’t Personalizes messaging like a pro Scales content without hiring Turns messy data into clean decisions How to make ChatGPT work with you (not against you): 1. Add context - industry, ICP, goals 2. Break big tasks into small prompts 3. Ask it to write, revise, and remix 4. Use prompts like: “Act as a B2B strategist…” 5. Don’t stop at ideas - build repeatable systems Marketer: So ChatGPT isn’t just for writing quick posts? ChatGPT: No. It’s your strategy assistant - if you prompt it like one. Stop asking: Can ChatGPT write this post? Start asking: Can ChatGPT help me systemize our growth? Built with prompts. Powered by strategy. ♻️ Repost if you’ve ever been asked: “Can ChatGPT just do it all?” Follow Madhav Mistry for systems that make AI work with your marketing

  • I watched 50+ companies waste ChatGPT for 12 months. How to actually unlock AI value in 5 steps: One-off queries don't transform businesses. You need two things: 1. Repeatable systems (not random prompts) 2. Structured workflows (most people miss this) If I had to start using AI properly today, I'd build systems first. Here's the exact blueprint: Step 1: Identify Your Repeatable Tasks → 30 minutes Stop asking ChatGPT random questions. Map your recurring workflows: - Customer support responses - Content repurposing - Data analysis reports - Research summaries Pick one workflow that happens weekly. That's your starting point. Step 2: Build Your System Prompt → 15 minutes Create a master prompt template: "You are a [role] that [specific function]. Your task is to [clear objective]. Always follow these rules: [your guidelines]." Save this as your system foundation. Reuse it every time. Step 3: Add Context Controls → 10 minutes Give ChatGPT the right inputs: - {{customer_data}} for personalization - {{brand_guidelines}} for consistency - {{past_examples}} for quality standards Variables make prompts reusable. Not one-time queries. Step 4: Create Output Structures → 10 minutes Define exactly what you want back: - Use JSON for structured data - Request specific formats - Set character limits - Demand citations ChatGPT follows structure better than vague asks. Step 5: Build It Into Your Workflow → 30 minutes Connect ChatGPT to your actual tools: - Zapier automation - API integrations - Custom GPTs with actions - Agent frameworks Now it's a system, not a search engine. The difference between search and systems? Search = "Write me a blog post" System = Automated workflow that turns your brief into SEO-optimized content using your brand voice, past examples, and target keywords Search happens once. Systems run forever. The real power of treating ChatGPT as infrastructure: - Scales your team without hiring - Maintains consistency across outputs - Compounds value over time - Actually transforms operations Most people use ChatGPT like an intern. You should be using it like an operating system. What workflow are you turning into a system first? P.S. Want to learn more about AI? 1. Scroll to the top 2. Click "Visit my website" 3. • Why I Treat Every ChatGPT Prompt as a Job Description When I work with ChatGPT or any other large language models, I approach it with the precision and expectation you'd use for hiring a key team member. Here's how a well-crafted prompt can transform your content strategy: 1. Set Clear Expectations: → Just as a job description outlines roles and responsibilities, your ChatGPT prompt should clearly define what you expect from the model. This ensures that the output is aligned with your objectives. 2. Specify the Role: → Tell ChatGPT exactly who you want it to be. Whether it’s an expert copywriter, a knowledgeable advisor, or a creative designer, shaping its identity will tailor its responses to fit your needs precisely. 3. Define the Task: → What do you want ChatGPT to do? Whether it’s crafting compelling ad hooks, generating engaging blog content, or providing technical explanations, spell it out. The more specific you are, the better the results. 4. Provide the Right Tools: → Equip ChatGPT with the best resources. If you're looking to generate catchy hooks, provide examples of top-performing ones. This "training" through examples, best practices, and clear guidelines not only enhances performance but ensures consistency. Why This Matters? Using ChatGPT without a clear prompt strategy is like hiring someone without a job description — inefficient and ineffective. By treating each prompt as a critical component of your strategy, you optimize your results and get the most out of this powerful tool.

How I Use ChatGPT to Co-Write My Posts — And How You Can Too Most people use ChatGPT as an assistant that drafts text. I use it as a thinking partner. That difference matters, because the real value isn’t the writing—it’s the clarity you gain when the AI is allowed to challenge you. Here’s how I’ve learned to work with it, and how you can do the same. 1. I make my assumptions explicit. I've trained ChatGPT not to be agreeable or polite. It knows to reason with me the way a peer scientist would—questioning logic, pointing out gaps, and pushing for precision. So I tell it my foundational assumptions (in my case: the axioms I use to reason about value, flow, and learning). You can do the same, whatever your field is. Once the AI knows your foundations, it can keep your writing anchored to them and prevent unintentional drift. 2. It helps me refine tone by keeping me aligned to my own principles. Left unchecked, any writer slips into habits or framing they don’t intend. For me, that meant avoiding comparison-based language and ti stay axiom-first. For you, it might mean staying customer-centric, technical-precise, empathetic, direct, or analytical. If you tell ChatGPT the tone you don’t want—and why—it will track that constraint better than you can in the moment. 3. It accelerates the thinking process, not just the writing process. My workflow looks like this: 1. Identify the idea I want to explore. 2. Explain why it matters. 3. Let ChatGPT challenge the logic. 4. Refine the reasoning together. 5. Only then ask it to draft something. Most people skip straight to step 5. That gives you text, but not clarity. The real leverage comes from letting the AI expose assumptions, contradictions, or missing pieces in your thinking before a single sentence is written. 4. It surfaces structure you didn’t know you needed. Often I’ll bring a fuzzy intuition to ChatGPT—something that feels important but isn’t yet coherent. Through back-and-forth questioning, the structure emerges: - What’s the objective? - What’s the principle behind it? - What sequence makes sense? - What’s missing? - What does the reader need first? The AI is very good at noticing what you skipped. 5. The result: my writing is clearer, faster, and more grounded. Yes, it saves time. But more importantly, it makes the thinking sharper. It forces me to articulate what I normally skip over. It exposes where I’m vague. It keeps me aligned to my own principles even when I drift. If you treat an LLM as a co-thinker instead of a text generator, it becomes a multiplier for clarity—not just productivity. If you haven’t tried using ChatGPT this way, experiment with it. Tell it your foundational principles. Define the tone you want—and don’t want. Let it challenge you before it writes anything. You may find it becomes one of the best thinking partners you’ve ever had. This post was written this way. And I can tell you it's MUCH better than what I had written without the AI.

  • The #1 AI workflow your CMO isn't using yet: 1️⃣ Generate a list of high-intent topics/questions your customers care about (Don’t guess. Grab 10 representative Gong calls, feed the transcripts into ChatGPT, ask for a list of the questions your prospects actually ask, then prompt ChatGPT to stack-rank the questions by frequency and buying intent). 2️⃣ Pick one topic from your list and use the following prompt to build an interview guide: "𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱 [𝘛𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘤 𝘟] 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺. 𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘉2𝘉 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥-𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘵 𝘢 5-𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 a 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴? 𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮 𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘶𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘦 '𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵,' 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯-𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳-𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘥." 3️⃣ Book a 30-min call with an internal expert on the topic - someone who works at your company that can explain things clearly and deeply. Ask the questions in the guide. Record with Fathom - AI Meeting Assistant. Go deep and get curious. (Hint: If you aren’t saying “tell me more about that” at least five times during this convo, you’re not going deep enough.) Restate the important stuff you hear during the convo while you're recording so it's easier to use later on. 4️⃣ Take the transcript (which now has the interview guide, your SME's answer, and your verbal highlights incorporated in it), feed it to ChatGPT, and ask it to draft a clear, human, helpful blog post on the topic. Finish with a last pass using this prompt: "𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘫𝘢𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮? 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘺 2 𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 10-𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘦. 𝘛𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸." 5️⃣ Publish. Then ask ChatGPT for 3-4 ways to repurpose what you just created based on what will resonate the most with your target prospects (prospecting email, landing page copy, LinkedIn carousel, sales talking points, webinar outline, etc.). Congrats, you just did a month of marketing in a day. Now go do it again tomorrow.

  • How to make artificial intelligence (AI) write in your voice & style. Hold on to your hats, and don't expect your AI to churn out Pulitzer-level content with a few keystrokes. It is not magic. You've got to play your part by guiding your AI using thoughtful and strategic prompts. If you're looking to use ChatGPT to pen articles or your social media posts, it's crucial to make sure the end product sounds like you, not some robot. So, here's the big question: How do you make ChatGPT write like you? Prime your AI: Start off by prepping your AI to understand your writing style. Give it a clear brief, something along the lines of, "I'm counting on you to help me create articles for [purpose]. First, you need to get a handle on my writing style, based on some examples I'm about to give you. When you're ready to go, just say GO AHEAD and I'll start feeding you with my writing samples. Every time you want more, just say GO AHEAD. When I'm done, I'll say FINISHED. Your only task at this point is to confirm that you've captured my writing style." This process ensures AI gets a clear understanding of when to anticipate more content and when to stop, avoiding an early jump into content production mode. Provide writing samples: When you receive a green signal from ChatGPT, start inputting samples of your writing. It could be bits from your articles, newsletters, books, or even emails. Make sure you choose examples that truly represent your unique style, including sentence length, word choices, tone, and overall format. I recommend giving at least three examples, spanning different topics and totaling up to 1000 words. Once you've fed the last piece, say "finished," and ChatGPT will gear up for your next direction. Label your style: While it's not necessary, giving a name to this unique writing style can be handy for future reference. Ask your AI to summarize your writing style, honing in on sentence structure, tone, and voice. If the AI's analysis doesn't hit the mark, no worries! Just provide more examples until you're happy. Define your needs: Now that ChatGPT has grasped your style, time to delegate the task. Be clear and specific about what you want your AI to write. The more details you provide, the better. Whether it's a thought-provoking article, tweets, a letter to shareholders, or an SEO-friendly blog, detail it out in the prompt. Ask for modifications: The first draft might not be a home run, but consider it a starting point. Ask your AI to edit the text according to your needs, whether you want it more light-hearted, serious, lengthy, shorter, or with fewer adverbs. Include any additional details that might be missing, or ask for certain elements like a story, joke, or pun. Feel free to iterate until you're satisfied with the results. Follow these five simple steps and get your ChatGPT to write in your unique style. But remember, it all boils down to your prompts – exceptional prompting can create extraordinary content. Happy writing!
