Important PHP Security Updates Available
The PHP versions 8.2.35, 8.3.36, 8.4.27, and 8.5.12 are now available for MAMP PRO 7 for macOS and MAMP PRO 5 for Windows, including important security fixes.
These updates address two critical security vulnerabilities that, under certain circumstances, could allow unauthenticated remote code execution.
MAMP PRO is designed exclusively for local development. We strongly advise against using it as a publicly accessible production server. However, since some users still run MAMP PRO in such environments, we want to emphasize the importance of applying these security updates as soon as possible.
We strongly recommend that all users update any affected PHP versions immediately.
MAMP PRO for macOS: The new PHP versions can be added directly within the application. Step-by-step instructions are available in our documentation. Please install the latest PHP versions as soon as possible.
MAMP and MAMP PRO for Windows: The updated PHP versions are included in the latest installation package. Download the latest version and install the update.
For more technical information about these security vulnerabilities, please visit the official PHP website.
MAMP PRO for Windows
MAMP PRO is the commercial, professional frontend for the classic local server environment: MAMP. With MAMP PRO you can create a separate host for each of your web projects. You can install WordPress and other Extras like Joomla or Drupal with just a few clicks. This is just a small part of what you can do with MAMP PRO.
MAMP for Windows
MAMP is a free, local server environment that can be installed under macOS and Windows with just a few clicks. MAMP provides them with all the tools they need to run WordPress on their desktop PC for testing or development purposes, for example. You can even easily test your projects on mobile devices. It does not matter whether you prefer the web server Apache or Nginx in addition to MySQL as database server, or whether you want to work with PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby.
