Let it be said that it’s such a fearless, fierce, menacing turn that comparisons with Jack Nicholson don’t come into it. This is the definitive Joker.

The fact that Heath Ledger died from an overdose after this film, it gives me the chills everytime I watch it. Nobody can ever play the Joker better. This is the classic Joker that can never be topped. Christopher Nolan is also in that tier. I can’t see anyone else playing Batman better than him. 10/10.

Twisted, tortured, terrifying - and terrific.

This comic-book movie is more disturbing, and has more freakish power, than anything else I've seen all year.

Because make no mistake: The Dark Knight is many things, some of them deliriously fun, some of them deeply impressive, and some of them puzzling and frustrating. But most of all it is dark.

You keep waiting for the movie to clarify, to settle down to its archetypal purity: icon of psychotic evil against icon of neurotic good. Music by Wagner in his "Götterdämmerung" mood, screenplay by Nietzsche, with additional lines by Babaloo Mandel. Oh, what a great big movie wallow, what a transformational blast of cine-pleasure. It never quite arrives

The novelty wears off and the lack of imagination, visual and otherwise, turns into a drag. The Dark Knight is noisy, jumbled, and sadistic.

Greetings from Lithuania. This movie "put a smile on my face!" I just came back from premiere of this movie in our country and i can tell you one thing - this film is a serious stuff.Forget all "Spider Man" or "Superman" type blockbusters - this movie is as serious as it gets! Dark, real, and scary (in different ways) - this movie beats them all! It is a crime movie and a suspense-thriller - not a superhero movie.Heath Ledger really deserves an Oscar nomination for his Jocker - one of the best villains i have ever saw on a big screen. Watching him on screen i thought - that's what makes performances unforgettable.Christopher Nolan created a "real" world and a "real" movie about Batman. It's so real that even scares. One of the things i like about this movie is that it has very limited CGI."Dark Knight" won't win an Oscar for a best picture of the year, but it's the best action - adventure film of this decade (along with "Bourne **** hat is off to Christopher Nolan and his brother for creating the essence of a ****, "why so serious?!"

I have the same thoughts that I have expressed for "Batman Begins". I report here what I wrote about the first movie of the trilogy "The story of the movie is well known but I don't like Nolan directing action movies. I think action scenes are not is strength and screenplays often have some lacks. In my opinion this is not nolan worst movie but it doesn't turn out to be his best one."

"The Dark Knight" is a sadistic, sick-minded film that taps into the sick minds of the fanboys. Christopher Nolan understands his audience. This is their ultimate hate-filled fantasy.

Overly convoluted mess of a film that shows a man in a Batman costume who does not behave at all like Batman.
