Winter Quarters was established in the spring of 1875. Once the mountain's significant coal tonnage was known, more people began moving into the burgeoning town. In 1928, the mine closed, and the town was abandoned. More about Winter Quarters, Utah. legendsofamerica.com/ut-winterquart…
