Best answer: Ok well, your mom is not being nice to you, obviously. The reason she is saying that to you is to shame you and scare you into not dressing like a "****" so you will be looked at with respect. The truth is, no girl is a **** and **** is a term used to degrade and shame girls/women for showing some skin or wearing body-formed clothes. Your mom is scared to be embarrassed about you wearing some revealing clothes so she scares you into calling you a ****, which isn't something a mother should do. Of course it's a mother's concern to be worried about what their daughters wear, but name-calling you isn't the way. The fact that your mom bought you the yoga pants and the dress and call you a "****" is pretty contradicting. In this world we live in, we are so used to calling girls sluts because of how we were taught by the media. Anything a girl does will be the death of her. Either she's too "prude" or too "slutty." As a girl, you can't and will never win. But that doesn't stop you from standing up for yourself and not caring what others say about you. You sound like a good-hearted person. Don't let your mom call you a ****. Tell her off. Tell her "Hey, stop calling me a ****. That term should never be used for girls because it's used to degrade and shame them for every little thing they do or wear. I am NOT a ****. I am a human being and deal with it." Wear whatever you want. Girls get insulted for everything they wear or don't wear. Rather a girl is naked or fully clothed, she still doesn't deserved to be called a **** or any derogatory term. Your mom calling you a **** is insulting your self-esteem and she needs to know that it hurts you. That you are her daughter and deserve respect and positivity. Hope the best for you. <3
